Tap Tap Tap
Boom!
The door flew open, shocking Cig and Ale, who immediately grabbed their swords—but before they could act, they were electrocuted.
They dropped to their knees, their swords clattering to the floor, as a woman stepped into view. Her presence was chilling, her smile wicked.
"L-l-l-Lady Isdeath?" Cig stammered, his voice trembling as if he were looking at death itself. She said nothing, her smile widening.
Though it seemed like a normal day in the slave mine, it was anything but.
Several key individuals were missing from the mines, making the guards nervous. These were the very people they suspected of inciting rebellion.
Rah sat in a shadowy corner, sharpening his blade. Akanni approached, his voice hushed but determined.
"Akanni, how is everything? Is everyone ready?" Rah asked without looking up.
"Yeah, Rah, everyone's ready to move out. Thanks to you, nobody can stop us," Akanni replied, stretching his arms as if preparing for a fight.
"Melting those collars off was no easy task," Rah muttered, finally standing. "Had to be precise with the magic. One wrong move, and…" He didn't finish the thought, but the tension was evident.
Rah took a deep breath and began issuing orders. "Alright, Akanni, take your group to secure the dining hall and the factory. I'll take the others to lock down the main mine and the storage area."
He turned to his group, his gaze intense. "I don't expect no casualties, but let's show them what happens when you shove us too far."
Weapons were distributed, and the two groups split up, heading in opposite directions.
"Be safe, Akanni," Rah said, shaking his comrade's hand.
"You too," Akanni replied, his voice steady but laced with gravity.
Rah's group moved swiftly through the dimly lit corridors. They encountered two guards, who froze in terror upon seeing the armed rebels.
Rah smirked and charged at them. The guards fumbled with their weapons but were too slow. Rah ducked under their swings, then grabbed them both with his raw strength, slamming them into the ground. Their swords slid across the floor, useless. Without hesitation, Rah finished them off with a swift stab.
The group looked on in awe, marveling at his sheer power.
"Take their swords," Rah commanded, his voice calm but firm.
Halfway to the main mine, Rah's group met with another squad of rebels. Their leader, bruised and bloodied, greeted Rah with urgency.
"Rah! We barely managed to defeat the guards here. The mines seem quiet…too quiet."
Rah frowned, an uneasy feeling settling in his gut. "Something's off," he muttered.
"What do you mean?" one of his fighters asked.
"I don't know," Rah admitted, gripping his sword tighter. "Stay sharp."
The group reached one of the three main openings to the mine. The cavern stretched wide and deep, but something was wrong—there was no sign of the guards or workers.
"This doesn't make sense," someone whispered nervously.
Rah's eyes widened as realization hit him. He screamed, "Duck and roll!"
A volley of arrows rained down, but most of the rebels managed to dive for cover in time. Rah, however, remained standing, his flaming sword glowing red-hot as he slashed through the arrows mid-flight. The shattered, flaming projectiles clattered to the ground.
Rah swung his sword, sending a wall of fire surging outward, cutting off two groups of enemy reinforcements.
The enemy general, standing at the far end of the mine, barked orders. "A magic swordsman? Take him down now!"
The enemy troops charged, their sheer numbers overwhelming.
Rah fought at the forefront, his flaming sword cutting through enemy ranks. But his group was outnumbered, and the enemy soldiers fought with brutal efficiency.
"Rah! They're circling behind us!" Someone yelled.
Rah cursed. "Archers, break their formation!"
The rebels loosed arrows, but the enemy retaliated in kind. One by one, Rah's fighters began to fall. Jamal, one of Rah's closest companions, let out a pained cry as he was struck down.
"JAMAL!" Rah screamed in horror as he looked all around him
Panic spread. The defensive line broke.
"We can't hold them!" someone screamed.
Rah's heart dropped as he saw the fear in his fighters' eyes. They were seconds away from complete collapse.
But then he saw the enemy general smirking, watching the chaos like a predator toying with its prey.
"No," Rah growled. "Not like this."
He slammed his sword into the ground, sending out a fiery shockwave that forced a brief pause in the fighting.
"STOP!" he roared, his voice echoing through the mine. His group froze, their eyes on him. Even the enemy hesitated.
"Listen to me!" Rah shouted, his voice filled with Raw emotions "I know you're scared and tired, but if we give up now, we're dooming not just ourselves but everyone counting on us!"
He pointed his flaming sword at the enemy. "Look at them! They think they've won! But they don't know what it means to fight for freedom. To fight for something bigger than yourself!"
His fighters stirred the fire in his words rekindling their courage.
"They've got numbers," Rah continued, his voice rising, "but we've got something they'll never have: heart. If we stand together, if we fight like we've got nothing to lose, we can win!"
His group erupted in a battle cry, their fear replaced by fierce determination.
Rah's group reformed their lines, attacking with renewed ferocity. Archers rained arrows on the enemy's rear, while melee fighters fought with coordinated precision.
Rah was relieved as he managed to get their heads straight but he knew that his job was far from over as this battle couldn't be won so easily and he knew he had to take out the one that held the enemies together
He eyed the enemy general who was spitting commands, The general was dressed in basic Knight apparel
Rah couldn't care less and spoke to the person next to him as they clashed with soldiers
"Haylen I gotta take care of their general, I'm going to create an opening," Rah says as he takes out three of the enemy soldiers
"Do what you need to do Rah, I got your back" Haylen says deflecting a soldier blow as Rah cuts him down
"Bet, I'll push so be safe," Rah says as he takes a deep breath and uses his overwhelming speed to cut down ten soldiers in a row
This caught the enemies off guard creating an opportunity for
Before he knew it Rah was face-to-face with the general who calling the shots
Without saying a Word Rah engaged in a battle with the guy
"You got guts, slaves, even if you beat me you'll never beat the Lieutenant," The man says going blow for blow with Rah
"How people did you people bring here!" Rah says putting in more effort
"Let's just say your Big Friend…Has gotten the worse of the assault, The Lt is going to Zap him to death!"
