Chapter 32 - CHAPTER 32

Title: My First Trading Partner is An Awaken

_______________________

Henry just wanted to know the extent of what the Morante family can do but this guy, Luis, only made some speculations of crimes related to murder, abductions and human trafficking and even drugs.

One of the things that he might be sure of is about their relation towards the gang where Luis is involved.

"So your gang is under one of the major gangs in the 16 cities here in the national capital region and he is one of those bosses?"

Henry asked again as he didn't expect that the water is deeper in relation to the Morante Family.

"Yes. We have tacit agreements to the other local gangs mainly due to the interference of the Morante Family in the city," Luis said as he was still bound to one of the pillars of the warehouse.

Henry frowns from the troublesome entanglement he was facing, or better yet, the Ramirez Family is facing. However, his family had been involved so he needed to address it as soon as possible.

Yet the only thing that connects him to political power is Mayor Sales. "I am not sure if he had the guts to uproot these troubles in the city."

"Since you're being sincere. I will let you live. Now, just tell Francis Morante and even Willy Morante what had happened and if he still pursues the Ramirez Family under any circumstances, tell them that I will flatten out their family in the city."

"Tell them that this is their first and last warning Luis and let them hear you clearly." Henry warns and Luis can see the intense control of anger in the eyes of Henry.

"Ye… yes! Yes! I will tell them directly!" He stuttered and before he knew it, the rope that binds him was slushed and the man in the ski-mask was gone with the wind.

"F*ck! I'm f*ck!"

Luis just stayed still as he didn't notice that his legs were trembling and couldn't stand to get out of the place. The only thing that first comes to his mind is to call Francis.

"Hey! How is everything?" Francis Morante asked after knowing that it was Luis.

"What kind of monster had you managed to provoke?!" He can only ask.

"What are you saying? What monster?" Francis is confused.

"Not a monster as it was understatement. The one who deals with my gang is a devil. You heard me, Francis? It's a devil!" Luis exclaimed as he recalled what he had experienced in a short period of time.

"You're saying that someone is protecting the Ramirez Family in the dark?" Francis repeated and there it was dawn to him the warning of his father about not antagonizing the Ramirez Family.

"Yes, I bet your father will know this soon since he had some connections with the police and the media personnel. You better tell him first before he hears it from others, Francis."

This is his advice. Although they had messed up big time this time, Francis is still his friend. A good friend without those attitudes that were not fixed from his childhood.

"Francis, that devil said that this is his first and last warning. If you will not heed what he had said, he will surely have the power to erase you and your family in the city. I'm sure he had the backing of his words, Bro. So please heed his advice."

Luis is literally begging as he doesn't want to get involved and meet that devil again.

The young Morante yielded and exited the call. Unbeknownst to Luis, Henry heard the conversation and nodded with the quick action of Luis.

Although he was not afraid of the moves of the Morante Family, he doesn't want to get involved as he still enjoys his situation right now. His first priority is to get stronger along with his family using the platform that he doesn't know when it will be with him.

Basically, This gives him the opportunity to stretch his muscles from time to time but the spiritual world and the world beyond the platform give more allure to him.

Still, he cannot ignore the threats towards his family. As much as he would like to address it as much as possible, he still gives them warning not to antagonize him.

"I just hope the old Morante listens and hoping that that imaginary friend that Mayor Sales had said could help out," Henry thought.

He went back home and saw that his dad and Dylan were waiting for him worriedly.

"It's good that you are back, son. I heard what happened to Dylan and what had happened next. Tell me, who did it, son."

Jimmy is serious. Henry and Dylan knew that when their dad is this serious, they knew that their dad is so angry and pissed off.

"I had warned them, dad. I hope they listen to my warning, if not. I will surely deal with them. As for you dad, you need to train too, to at least kick some ass with worry," Henry said.

"Yeah, I heard that you broke their arms and legs. There might be something in the morning news," Jimmy stated and nodded to Henry's action.

"I needed to, dad. These gangs deserve it for threatening us. Although I had restrained myself not to kill them." Henry said.

"Yes, don't put law in your hand. Let them deal with them," Jimmy understands what he means. With Henry's power, it would be easy for him to unalive someone.

"With this incident, you might as well train too, dad. My sister and this guy right here already started. They just need to be consistent with it," Henry said as he is referring to Dylan besides Jimmy.

"I agree dad. Look, I did run faster than those guys. I can easily outrun them and come here but I know that they will make a mess here. So I decided to go to the abandoned warehouse and call for my brother's help," Dylan explains.

"It's a wise move bro. Our neighbors would wonder why I am being brutal to breaking those gang's arms and legs." Henry said.

"Tsk. Tsk. I know you would recommend that. Don't worry, I do boxing and kicking whenever I am free. As you can see, the greenhouse is filled with harvest again and maybe by tomorrow, we are to harvest some of those veggies," Jimmy easily diverted the talk.

He understands the concern of both of his sons and he too agrees with it. With the threat from Dylan from the gangs in the city, he too would also need to step up and try learning self-defense.

And there it was, the whole Ramirez has now stepped into the realm of martial arts.

___________

Slap!

Slap!

Two slaps were received by Francis Morante from his father who was angry along with his sharp eyes and reddened face.

"What have you've done?!" Willy Morante asked in anger after what he did to his son. "I had warned you, Francis, I definitely warned you not to go against that family and you never heed my advice!"

Francis can only keep silent since it was on the script. "I mean, he would definitely get angrier when you argue against dad. It's good that it's only two slaps."

"I had warned you, son, because there are certain people in low keys that we can't afford to even threaten even with my connections and power!"

Willy explains. He didn't elaborate it to his son but he never had expected that Francis would still be dumb enough to not heed his advice.

He had just woken up just a moment ago and the good thing about his son is that he got the balls to tell the whole ordeal of what had taken place just last night.

That's why his anger subsided but he still had impulses to hurt Francis with slaps since it was this serious and the Ramirez Family got involved.

"I don't understand, father. How the heck can't we destroy such a family when they were just trash months ago," Francis asked.

He had some background check on Ramirez and he didn't know that it was haphazardly done since he just used the gang to investigate the Ramirez Family.

"Oh so you had done your assignment. It's good that you had some brain in your head but you certainly miss some crucial information about them," Willy said.

"Did I really miss something, dad?" He was confused and curious at the same time.

"You missed big time, son. I don't want to talk about it because I don't want you to be exposed to the darker side of the city. We got the first and last warning from that person who protects the Ramirez Family, so I need you to behave and restrain yourself."

Willy Morante reiterates to his only son. He made some mistake of spoiling Francis but he wanted to rectify and not be trapped from his own demeanor.

"Yes, father. Although, I need some money to ease the burden of Luis in the hospital bills." Francis said, reminding his father about the consequence of what he had done. Some people were hurt and he was responsible for it.

"Let me deal with it." Willy Morante said.

In the morning news, Henry's actions were reported in the local news. With a quick action of the Morante Family, they had altered the result of the investigation, suggesting what had taken place in Zone 9 abandoned warehouses.

The police reported that it was a fight between gangs and it was what the breaking news filled the local channels. Jimmy and Dylan also saw it and confirmed that someone or somebody is powerful enough to alter the news.

"Dad, brother, might be right." Dylan said after watching the said gang war from the news.

"I never had expected that there would be people who would have such influence to cover what truly happened, son. Although, I heard rumors about it but this is my first hand experience where we were directly involved from the cover up," Jimmy Ramirez stated.

"True, dad. But I guess this is good for us. It's either they listened to the advice of my brother or they wanted to follow up what they did for me. I just got lucky since I had outrun them," Dylan said as they still watched the news on the television.

"Don't be complacent, son. You continue doing your training too and with your brother's recommendation, I'll start taking some training for self-defense." Jimmy said.

_____________

"Brother! Some old men are looking for you outside," Shienna said to Henry in his room.

Henry extended his senses and through it, he found that it was the old man, Dondon. He was surprised to find him as he was not notified about their coming.

He also noticed that Mang Dondon looks younger and he knew that the old man heeded his advice of drinking the F-rank healing potion to strengthen himself.

After opening the gate door, it was really Mang Dondon along with two other old men. "Well, this is a surprise."

"Long time no see, Young man. It seems Banoy is still reliable looking at your place." Mang Dondon said.

"Banoy, the Tikbalang? Where is he?" Henry asked after not sensing the encanto's whereabouts.

"Don't look for him, he had made a portal in that cotton fruit," Mang Dondon is referring to one of the fruit trees in his property.

"Portal? He can do that?" Henry asked.

"Well, he was lucky that that fruit tree is already 10 years old and it was stable enough to create a portal for him to connect with you," Mang Dondon explained.

"What the heck, they can create portals too?" He was even more dumbfounded with Banoy's action.

"It was one of their abilities. Anyways, aren't you going to let us in?" Mang Dondon asked. "These are my colleagues, by the way, Calixto and Gregorio."

"I see." Henry fully opened his senses and his spiritual eye, he finds that the aura of the other two is similar to Mang Dondon but had thinner lines as compared to the old man.

Jimmy, Dylan, Shienna and Almirah meet the three old men and hospitably receive them as they were guided to one of the Nipa Hut Henry installed.

"Young man, in just a few days, you have managed to increase your strength. How the heck do you do that?" Mang Dondon commented.

"It's a secret for now. I was wondering why you didn't even call me to at least fetch you up in the bus terminal," Henry asked.

"Worry not, Young man. We came for two things, Henry. First is the trade of the oil talisman, and second, these two for my colleagues need your help," Mang Dondon explains.

"That's good news. But why do you need my help," Henry asked Calixto and Gregorio as he glanced at them.

"I see why this friend of mine urges and suggests you for help, young man. I never had expected that someone would have this pressing presence in the city. I truly need your help, young man."

Calixto seriously said. He was one of the experienced Albularyo in one of the outskirt municipalities of the Bulacan province.
