Chapter 84 - 70. Monsters Attack

Lyria then explains about Rei and the condition of his body, as well as the situation they're facing, which they come from different timeline.

Gabriel listens seriously, but the more she hears, the more shocked she becomes.

After a while, Lyria finally finishes her story, but Gabriel remains silent, deep in thought.

Michael and Sandalphon understand what Gabriel is feeling because they both felt the same when they first heard Lyria's story.

They just couldn't believe how someone from another world suddenly got into theirs with the body of their creator, Lucilius, and also possessing the Supreme Primarch's power.

It just doesn't make any sense, so they think this is probably the work of the omnipotent Bahamut.

If Rei knew what they were thinking, he'd definitely say something like, "Hah!? Bahamut never does anything! He's just slacking and not doing his job!"

"That's a lot to take in... Someone from another world arrived in this one with the body of an Astral, the power of the Supreme Primarch, and a body that can handle different Primal Beast powers at once..." Gabriel murmurs after some time.

She doesn't know how to react to this information. She knows that if this Rei is an evil person, then no one could defeat him if he used all his arsenal like the Primal Beasts.

But the Girl in Blue would never like someone like that, so Gabriel doesn't need to worry about Rei becoming what she feared.

"Yeah, that's all. So can you heal Rei?" Lyria asks Gabriel while looking at Rei, who is unconscious on the bed.

Gabriel then stops thinking and looks at him. "I can't really heal him because he's not wounded or anything. He's just really tired, and his energy right now is really chaotic inside him."

"What!? But can we do something about that?" Orchid asks Gabriel with concern.

But Gabriel doesn't answer Orchid's question and seems hesitant about something.

She then turned to Michael who's watching her.

The two of them seem to communicate with just their eyes before Michael finally nods at Gabriel.

Seeing this, Gabriel finally takes a deep breath and answers Orchid, "Yes, there is a way to fix his chaotic energy."

Hearing that, Lyria, Orchid, and Sandalphon immediately looks at Gabriel with hope.

"What is it?" Lyria asked her right away.

Gabriel still appears hesitant, but she eventually tells them how to help Rei.

Meanwhile, Gran and the others were talking to Eugen, who is being treated in one of the rooms in the hospital where they were.

Eugen told them about the information he found when he was investigating the situation with the Archangels.

The creation myth—a tale of unverifiable authenticity dating back even before the birth of the primarchs.

In the beginning, what once was nothing became everything.

It is then that the Sky Realm was created, a vast expanse of azure blue dotted with a multitude of islands. Life sprang forth on those chunks of earth; though small at first, it was nurtured by nature's bounty.

But before long, the Omnipotent is torn in twain. When one half departed from the realm, the Crimson Horizon opened in the lowest depths of the skies.

[Crimson Horizon is basically the Earth. The Sky Realm is floating high in the sky and at the bottom of the sky is Earth that's contaminated and the place where Otherworldly beings reside]

Thus, one half remains in the skies, presiding over an evolving yet immature world.

While the other half skirts the terminus of the skies, presiding over a perfect yet stagnant world.

Two gods, two realms, in addition to a Crimson Horizon swirling with chaos. That is how the present world was created.

The Astrals manufactured the original Primal Beasts one after another. They would serve as the perfect regulation mechanism. Each origin beast controlled a specific aspect of the world.

One Astral researcher took an interest in the concept of evolution and created a Primal Beast to oversee it. Thus Lucifer was born.

The researcher considered Lucifer to be a masterpiece, going on to categorize him as a primarch to set him apart from the other origin beasts.

[If you didn't realize, the researcher is Lucilius—The first Astral that made the Primal Beasts known as Primarchs.]

Various other types of archangels were created to help the researcher and Lucifer in their task. A select few were chosen from those archangels to support the evolution of the skies.

Over time, the Astrals began to see the origin beasts as a nuisance, and most of the beasts were sealed away in a cage.

[The original Primal Beasts are the archangels]

That cage being Pandemonium—an Astral prison located on the eastern edge of the sky.

"Did you say Pandemonium? That's the island shaped like a tower..." Lyria² murmurs when she hears the name mentioned by Eugen.

"Is Lucifer the Supreme Primarch you keep talking about?" Gran asks, curious about something.

Previously, he heard Michael constantly referring to Rei as the "Supreme Primarch" even though Lyria said he isn't.

But if an archangel like Michael thinks Rei is the Supreme Primarch, there's a possibility that Lucifer and Rei are the same being.

"Yeah, that's all the information I have. Rosetta probably has more, but that's it from me." Eugen says to them.

"Well, at least the situation is under control because the culprit already surrendered." Vyrn says, feeling relieved because from the story. He didn't know what Sandalphon would do if she had all the wings of the tetra archangel.

"Huh? The culprit already surrendered?" Eugen turns surprised when he heard Vyrn's words.

"Yes! It's because—" but just as Lyria² was about to tell Eugen what had happened to them earlier, the door to the room suddenly opens and someone rushes in.

"Eugen! Huh!? Everyone is here too?" A man with short black hair dressed in a soldier's uniform shouts.

"Juri? What's wrong? I thought you were staying at the defensive line." Eugen asks the man named Juri.

[JURI]

"It's an emergency! A lot of those weird monsters suddenly appeared out of nowhere! But these ones are really aggressive and are attacking everything without care!" Juri frantically informs them.

"What!" Vyrn exclaims in shock.

"Don't tell me this is what Michael told us before!?" Gran says, recalling that Michael mentioned earlier that since Sandalphon had lost her power, there was no one left to control the lesser archangels!

"We need to help them!" Lyria says in a panic to the others.

"Of course we're going to help!" Vyrn adds.

"Alright! I'm going to go with Juri to the town, while you Lyria, and Vyrn stay here with Eugen!" Gran said while looking at them.

"No, I'm going with you! I can help too!" Lyria quickly refuses Gran's suggestion.

Gran looks hesitant about what Lyria said. But unfortunately, they didn't have time to argue, so he allows Lyria to come along.

Meanwhile, Vyrn would stay here to guard Eugen and inform the other Lyria about what's happening.

Gran, Juri, and Lyria then quickly run towards the town gates where the Skyfarers were fighting the monsters.

But sadly, they were too late as many monsters had already entered the town.

"No way, we're too late!" Juri says, clenching his fists tightly as he sees the monsters attacking the buildings in the town.

"We have no time! Lyria, you help the citizens while Juri and I attack the monsters!" Gran quickly draws his sword and runs towards the monsters.

Gran and Juri start helping the Skyfarers who were fighting against the lesser archangels, while Lyria tries to calm the other citizens and guide them to the evacuation center.

"Hahhh!!" Gran shouts as he slashes through many of the lesser archangels.

While Juri is in different area trying to help a Skyfarer who is being overwhelmed by the monsters.

There were too many lesser archangels attacking the town, using their attacks to fire red lasers from their crystal orbs.

"Gwaaah! Damn it! I don't want to die!" One of the Skyfarer, who's severely wounded and could no longer stand, cried out.

Meanwhile, a lesser archangel in front of him is preparing to fire its laser.

"Hyaaaah!" But before the monster could fire, Juri slashes it from behind.

The monster, split in two, immediately vanishes.

"Juri! Thanks for saving me!"

"I'll hold them back! You run away and try to recover your injury!" Juri says to the Skyfarer before attacking the monsters again.

Meanwhile, Gran has managed to kill many monsters. But unfortunately, their numbers doesn't seem to decrease at all.

"Reginleiv!" Gran unleashes an aura from his sword towards them, killing four of the lesser archangels.

But while Gran is busy fighting off many of the lesser archangels, he suddenly senses danger and quickly moves to dodge something.

As Gran dodges, he sees a red laser surrounded by purple lasers suddenly passing by and hitting a building. *BOOOOOM!* A loud explosion echoes as the laser hits the building.

Gran realizes that this attack is far stronger than the previous ones, making him to turn towards the source of the attack.

The moment he does that, he sees the monster attacking him. It looks like the lesser archangels, but this one is much larger and has more purple crystals surrounding its small red crystals.

"Well, the boss finally shows up..." Gran smiles as he feels the immense power of this lesser archangel.

Meanwhile, with Lyria, "Please, everyone, let's all just calm down! Town officials are guiding the evacuation—!" Lyria tries to tell them.

But no one listens to Lyria as they are all in a state of panic.

"Did you hear the news? The evac point over there just got hammered!" one of the townspeople shouts to the others.

"This ship is full! Where should we go now?"

"Waaah! Mama! Mamaaa!!"

Many panicked citizens and crying children are heard, separated from their parents or witnessing them getting killed by the monster attacks.

"Everyone! Calm down and form a group!" Lyria continues trying to calm them down and urges them to at least move to a safer area away from the battle.

But just like before, not one of them listens to her.

They remain in a panic, pushing each other until Lyria sees a small child falling amidst the crowd.

"No!" Lyria quickly rushes into the crowd, and thanks to her small body, she easily squeezes through the gaps between the people.

As Lyria reaches the child, she notices the child's body covered in bruises from being trampled by others.

"Everyone, stop! You're stepping on a child!" Lyria embraces the child, trying to shield her.

But they still don't hear her, and now they are stepping on and pushing Lyria, causing her to fall while still holding the child.

"Ouch! Everyone!" Lyria looks like she wants to use her ability to create a barrier like before, even though it would knock the nearby people away. At least it would calm them down.

But before she can do that, suddenly, everyone stops moving...

"Huh?" Lyria looks confused and tries to looks around, then sees that they are all staring in the same direction.

"What is that...?" One of the townspeople says, staring at something.

"This warm and comfortable feeling..."

"What is that pillar of light, mom?"

Lyria tries to stand but because of her injured body, especially her legs from being trampled earlier, makes it difficult for her to get up.

But after struggling with all her might, she finally manages to stand and see what they are all looking at.

The moment she does that, she sees what everyone else is seeing.

A golden pillar of light, towering into the sky, coming from the direction of the hospital where they were earlier.

"This feeling..." She feels it, just like the townspeople said.

This warm feeling, a comfortable feeling, and the sense that everything is going to be alright.

But since Lyria can sense Primal Beasts, she actually senses something else.

Fire, Water, Earth, Wind, Light, Dark—she can feel everything inside that pillar of light.

And she also can't hear the sounds of fighting anymore since that pillar of light appeared. It's as if everyone is watching the same thing—even the monsters too.

Not long after, the pillar of light begins to shrink, allowing Lyria to see something inside it.

First, the twelve wings appear, but each wing is a different color.

Red, blue, green, brown, pure white, and dark—everything is in different colors.

And then she sees whose wings those are as the entire pillar of light disappears.

A man is floating in the sky with twelve majestic wings, his eyes closed, and his silver hair glowing.
