"Hahh... hahhh... hahhh..."
"It's fine, Rei. Just relax and let me heal you." Lyria says, placing both hands on Rei's forehead and using her power to ease his headache.
"Nn, just relax." Orchid nods, gently stroking Rei's head as it rests on her lap.
After the 12 white wings disappear from Rei's back, the headache he's feeling gradually begins to fade. Orchid offers Rei a place to rest on her lap so Lyria can try to heal him.
The other Lyria stands beside them, watching as her counterpart uses her power to heal Rei.
"How are you doing that?" Lyria² asks, curious as she observes herself from another timeline heal Rei.
"Huh? What do you mean? I'm just healing him like usual." Lyria responds, remaining focused on her power.
"But I can't do the same thing you're doing..."
"What? You can't?" Lyria is genuinely confused because she has always been able to do this, even though it was much weaker before she absorbed Leviathan's power.
The other Lyria then asks several questions, curious about the differences in how they use their powers.
Meanwhile Gran, Vyrn, Rackam, and Sierokarte are talking to Raphael, explaining why there are two Lyria's in this place.
"And that's all we know from the other Lyria's story about him." Gran finishes telling Raphael what they know about Rei.
Raphael seems to be processing all of this while looking at the man named Rei, who has Lucilius's body and the power of a Supreme Primarch.
None of it makes any sense... The Lucilius he knows has a personality that is completely different from this man named Rei.
"We've already told you what we know; now it's your turn to tell us what happened and why you Primarchs are losing control, causing many islands to start falling." Vyrn says to Raphael.
"At first, I didn't want to tell you because this is a Primarch matter, but after seeing him, it might be better if you also help so we can resolve this issue more quickly." Raphael replies.
Raphael then explains that one of the Primarchs seems to have betrayed them and stole his wings to use them to bring down entire islands in the Sky Realm, killing many people.
That Primarch is named Sandalphon, who, after successfully seizing his wings, is now going after the other Primarchs to do the same.
"What!? So if that Sandalphon person manages to steal all the Primarchs' wings, then all the islands will fall!?" Vyrn panics when he hears this.
"This is turning out to be really bad..." Sierokarte mutters to herself.
"Well, what are we waiting for then? We need to find the other Primarchs and help them right now!" Rackam says to Gran.
"Yeah, but don't forget that our borrowed airship crashed, so we need to go back to the city to borrow another one." Gran reminds everyone.
"Hey! There you guys are!" Just as they are talking, they suddenly hear a man's voice approaching.
"Well, if it isn't Richard! Did something happen? You look troubled." Vyrn says, recognizing who is arriving.
But Richard, without wasting any time, quickly informs them in a panic, "The town's been overrun by those halo monsters! Therese is holding them off for now, but I don't think she's gonna last for long!"
Hearing this, they become shocked and decide to return to the city first to help the townspeople there.
"Wait a minute, what about you guys?" Gran asks Rei, who is still resting on Orchid's lap, with Lyria and the other Lyria watching her alternate self uses her powers.
"What is happening!?" Lyria² asks, noticing their panic.
"Eh? Richard? Since when did you arrive here?"
"Wait, what!? Why are there two Lyria's here!?" Richard is befuddled as he sees two Lyria's in the same place.
"The town is under attack, so we need to help them!" Vyrn says to the other Lyria.
"What!! Oh no, Therese! We've got to get back to her!" the other Lyria panics upon hearing this.
"Yeah, so we need to go back! What about you, Raphael?" Gran asks Raphael.
"I need to go. I need to find the others to help them before Sandalphon manages to steal their wings too." Raphael says while turning to look at Rei.
He really doesn't want to leave the man who has Lucilius's face and the power of a Supreme Primarch alone, but he has no other choice, as the safety of the Sky Realm is his top priority.
After that, just like before, Raphael's body becomes enveloped in a green wind and disappears from the area, leaving them behind.
Seeing that Raphael is gone, Gran turns to Rei and the others, waiting for their response.
<~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~>
"Is it really okay to let them go on without us? They're fighting someone who has the power of two Primarch elements, right?" Lyria asks me.
"They'll be fine... Just let me rest for a moment." I reply to Lyria, keeping my eyes closed to rest.
Right now, it's just me, Lyria, and Orchid here because I told the others to go ahead and let me rest for a bit.
I can easily catch up with them using my wings and by sensing the connection with the other Lyria, so I'm not too worried about how we'll rejoin them.
"But the other Lyria seemed hesitant to leave you, Rei." Orchid says, recalling how the other Lyria kept glancing back at us as they left.
"I know..." I open my eyes and look in the direction where Gran and the others went.
Earlier, I've noticed that the other Lyria didn't want to leave me because she was still curious about the feelings she was experiencing, just like how my Lyria felt when we first met.
"The Lyria from this world can't really separate from Gran because of her Life Link with him."
"Life Link... You're not using it on Rei, right Lyria?" Orchid questions, turning to look at Lyria.
Hearing that, Lyria shakes her head. "No, I didn't use that power at all... Although I initially wanted to use it to help Rei, his body healed itself before I could, so I didn't end up using it."
And I'm pretty sure this Lyria is the only Lyria from all timelines that has never used Life Link on anyone... Because in the game, every timeline has the same Lyria, as it's Gran or Djeeta's destiny as the Singularity of the Sky Realm.
"But can't you, like, cure it and make them separated again?" Orchid asks Lyria again.
"...I don't know because I've never used it, so I really don't know everything about it. But all I know is that the moment my life is linked to someone, we can't be separated too far, or we'll both die..."
Yeah, Life Link is like that — you can't be separated from each other. In the original game, there was an incident where Djeeta and Lyria got separated, which made Djeeta gradually lose her strength, and if left alone, she would've died.
But that's only back there. Our world is completely different from it, so we don't need to worry at all.
"Alright, let's go meet with one of the other Primarchs." I say to them both as I stood up.
"Other Primarch? You know where one of them is?" Lyria asks me.
"Yeah, I know where Michael is right now. And I'm pretty sure that's where we'll find Sandalphon too."
"But what about the others? Should we go with them?" Lyria questions, turning in the direction where she could sense Tiamat's power being used.
That power was coming from Rackam, who was using Tiamat's strength to fight the angelic monsters attacking the town.
"They'll be fine. We should focus on stopping Sandalphon and also finding a way to get back to our timeline."
I then turn to Orchid and notice that she seems to be missing something. "Orchid, where is your doll?"
"I don't know... It got blown away by Raphael's wind, and I was too busy trying to help you instead of looking for it..." Orchid says to me in a tone that suggested she didn't care much.
But I could see from her expression that she was really upset about losing her beloved doll. "We can search for your doll for a few minutes, Orchid." I said, gently stroking her hair.
"Yeah, isn't that doll your favorite? You're always hugging it." Lyria also agrees to help Orchid find her doll.
But oddly, Orchid just shook her head, declining our offer. "No, it's fine... We don't really have time for that, because I'm sure a lot of islands are still falling while we're searching for my doll."
"Orchid..." Lyria could only murmur, seeing Orchid's expression.
"Uwahhh—!?" Orchid panics a little when she realizes I suddenly carry her.
"You don't need to be that sad, Orchid... How about when we get back, Lyria and I make a new doll for you?" I comfort her with a smile.
"A new doll...?" Orchid murmurs, asking me.
"Yeah, that's a good idea! You can leave it to me because I'm really good at sewing!" Lyria proudly boasts about her skills.
"Yeah, you really do have good sewing skills, Lyria." I say, then lift Lyria with my other arm.
"Hmm hmm, most of Rei's clothes are made by me." Lyria says, puffing out her chest with pride.
"What... I didn't expect you to have such a skill, Lyria..."
"Haha, yeah, Lyria has really weird skills, like sewing and eating a lot of food without gaining weight." I said, as I release my 12 black wings that immediately appear on my back.
"What does that mean!?" Lyria yells at me.
"Hahaha" I just laugh at her reaction and then flow away with both of them towards Michael's location.
