Chereads / 000 - What Makes The Sky Blue / Chapter 54 - 49. Celeste Omega

Chapter 54 - 49. Celeste Omega

After listening to Djeeta's words, Ferry stopped stroking my wings and turned towards Djeeta and the others.

"Just leave it to me if we're short on members to search for Celeste," Ferry suddenly said to us, then ran off in the direction of the village.

"Hey Ferry, where are you going!?" Vyrn tried to call Ferry back, but Ferry had already disappeared into the fog.

"We need to hurry and catch up with her before we lose Ferry," Djeeta said to us.

We then ran to try to chase after Ferry through the fog, and soon we could see that we had returned to the village, where many people were gathered, including Ferry, discussing something.

"Ferry, why did you suddenly run off like that?" Io said to Ferry as we approached them.

"Everyone, I asked for help from the other peoples here, and guess what they said," Ferry excitedly informed us.

"Ferry told us everything. We want to help," one of the villagers said to us.

"If we have to search, then with everyone here we should be able to cover the entire island!" another villager also said to us.

"This is our island. And that's our enemy. We won't just sit around!" Ferry also said with a determined voice.

"Everyone... I can't think of better allies than the very people who know this island by heart," Djeeta felt amazed looking at all of them who wanted to help us.

"Then we will split up to search for it, but I want each group to have someone who can clear away this fog so that no one gets lost," Djeeta informed us, making sure everyone paid attention.

"Understood, Captain," we all answered firmly following the orders of our captain.

After that, we started searching for Celeste together with the many other residents, and with their help, we were able to search very efficiently.

They all knew every nook and cranny of this island, which made our search easier. I also asked them if there were cliffs around here, but they said there were many cliffs in this area, so it would be a bit difficult to find the exact location.

But that didn't matter. With our numbers, we would eventually find Celeste and end this all...

My team and I returned to the village because we couldn't find anything. We tried to discuss with the others if they found anything or not.

But when we arrived at the village, I could see a bustling crowd in front of us, which made me curious, so I approached them. I could see that Djeeta and the others had returned from their search. "Hey everyone, I'm back," I said to them.

"Rei, perfect timing. One of the villagers said they found a ghost ship near a cliff over there," Djeeta said to me, pointing in a direction.

Huh, isn't that the direction where I flew with Vyrn before? But I didn't find Celeste before.

"Okay, so what's the plan?" I asked Djeeta.

"They said the ghost ship flies below the cliff, hiding with its fog, so we don't know how to make Celeste come out of hiding," Djeeta said to me while holding her head.

Maybe I could try what I wanted to try. "Then leave that to me. I don't know if it will work or not, but it's worth a shot," I said to them.

They looked confused by what I meant. "If you know what you're doing, we'll entrust it to you to lure Celeste out of hiding," Katalina said to me.

I nodded after hearing Katalina's words and then looked around me, specifically towards Djeeta and the others. "Huh, where are Drang and Sturm?" I asked them because I couldn't find them.

"I don't know, they both said they wanted to search for Celeste on their own, so we parted ways with them in the middle of our search," Narmaya answered me with a shrug.

Oh well, they often disappear like that, so I've gotten used to it by now...

"Well then, let's go there and finish this," I said to the others.

They all nodded after hearing me, and we thanked the other residents for helping us search for Celeste. Ferry also said she wanted to join us.

All of us, along with Ferry, then started heading towards the cliff mentioned by the villagers. I could see the fog getting thicker as we got closer to the place.

I used the wind from Tiamat to clear the fog so that we could walk safely and not getting lost.

"I'm starting to feel it, the power of Celeste... it's unlike any primal beast I've felt before, it's really strong," Lyria suddenly sai while holding onto both her arms.

Hmm, indeed, Celeste is the strongest primal beast aside from Akasha in the arc 1 story of Granblue Fantasy, but I'm not too worried because she is a primal beast and I am an Astral...

Not gonna lie, Astral is just too broken, especially when we're fighting primal beasts...

A while later, we arrived at the side of the cliff where Celeste was, and I could see the very thick fog below the cliff.

"Here! I can sense Celeste below us," Lyria said to us while pointing ahead.

"In that case, Rei, do what you need to do, we'll be behind you and prepare ourselves in case Celeste attacks or not," Djeeta said to me.

"Be careful, Rei," Lyria also said to me, then walked backward.

"Just don't lose control, alright Rei," Katalina also said to me and followed Lyria.

"Yeah, just beat that primal beast without losing control," Vyrn also reminded me.

They all started saying the same things like the three of them, then moved back away from me except for Ferry, who looked confused about what they were saying.

"Ferry, wait behind and leave this to me," I said to the confused Ferry.

"Are you gonna be okay? We're going to fight a primal beast, but you're the only one up front alone?" Ferry felt worried about me because from what she knew about primal beasts, they had god-like abilities that definitely not gonna be so easy to defeated.

Seeing Ferry's worried expression made me pat her head and say, "It's okay, besides, I promised to pat your head again after all this is over... even though I'm already doing it now," I told her.

I could see Ferry's Erune ears start to move to left and right in comfort with my pat. "This one now doesn't count....." Ferry murmured with a smile.

"So, back up with the others and wait there," I told her.

Ferry nodded and walked back to the others. Now they all seemed to be staring at me while holding their weapons.

As I looked at them, I could see them all nodding, indicating they were ready. Seeing that, I turned back to the edge of the cliff and looked down.

Well, here I go... I immediately summoned my six black wings, but the two additional wings were enveloped in a purple aura that had previously caused me to lose control.

But the other four wings also began to glow and changed colors to red, blue, brown, and green.

Then, Luminiera emerged from within me, specifically the Luminiera in her insect form. She then circling around my body and caused one of the black wings that enveloped in the purple aura to change color to gold.

"Wow, so beautiful," Ferry murmured as she observed Rei's wings.

"So far, there have been no issues, but don't let your guard down, everyone," Katalina reminded the others.

I could feel the raging energy from the two wings that get enveloped in purple aura started to calming down, but they still didn't completely disappear. This should be enough as long as I don't use them for too long. But this way, I should be able to control the Primal Beast like when I fought Vira and Luminiera before...

I raised my right hand towards the edge of the cliff and started calling Celeste, "Come to me, Celeste!" I called out briefly.

After I said that, the fog around us began to be pulled towards something at the edge of the cliff in front of me.

We all looked up because that's where all the fog around us seemed to gather into one. "This is it, Celeste..." Djeeta murmured as she staring at the fog.

The fog continued to gather into one for a few moments, and the fog mass began to grow and get larger until it started to take the form of an airship.

After all the fog around us disappear we could see that it was now nighttime, and the light from the moon was able to illuminate the area because there was no longer any fog blocking it.

But even though the fog now had the form of an airship, Celeste is not yet finished because she continued to grow larger and larger, even surpassing the Grandcypher.

Not long I could see the silhouette of a woman on top of the Celeste Airship that enveloped in fog.

Shortly after the fog disappeared, and I could see that the woman is wearing a black dress, long black hair, and a hat with fabric that covering her eyes.

Celeste? I didn't expect her to appear in that form...

[Celeste]

Celeste seemed to be staring at me, but because of the fabric that covering her eyes, I couldn't see the expression in her stare.

"Master..." Suddenly, I heard a woman's voice that made me turn around, but when I looked back, I couldn't see anyone except Djeeta and the others who were looking at Celeste.

"It's been so long..." I heard the woman's voice again, but I couldn't find who was saying that to me.

So I could only deduce that it was Celeste's voice that making me to turn back towards her, as she continued to stare at me.

Celeste then began to walk towards the edge of the airship, appearing to want to jump off. "Hey, what is that primal beast trying to do?" Vyrn shouted when he saw Celeste seemingly about to fall from her airship.

But when Celeste stepped her foot off the airship deck, instead of falling, she was walking on air, and I could see fog around her feet as if holding her up to prevent her from falling.

Celeste continued to walk as if descending stairs towards us, causing Djeeta and the others to tighten their grips on their weapons, thinking Celeste might do something.

But Celeste ignored them and kept walking until she reached the edge of the cliff and stood right in front of me...

Once Celeste stood in front of me, she stopped walking and just staring at me, and we both stood there, looking at each other.
