"What is going on here?!"
An angry voice called from down the aisle. Haru quickly scrambled out of Henry's lap, whilst Henry got up and swiftly pulled his zipper up.
⟪A⟫ No, I wanted more happy hour, with my mate.
⟪H⟫ Looks, like we can't with that old hag coming our way.
"Oh my god, oh my god, we're in so much trouble!"
"Haru, don't look frightened, sweetheart."
"Henry, she can ban us from the library!" She whisper yelled at him.
Henry easily shielded his dear troubled looking mate, who quickly wore her panties and her jeans back on. Haru then came standing besides Henry.
"You are not supposed to be back here!" The old receptionist fumed.
"We know and we are so sorry. Right Henry?" Haru said in her apologetic tone, whilst she nudged him at his arm.
"Right, we didn't mean to cause any trouble."
"How did you two get in here, in the first place?!" The old lady fumed with her grey hair tied in a bun.
"It was open." Henry lied.
"No, the chain is locked! Did you break it?!"
"Woah, lady that's a strong accusation. My boyfriend may look strong, but even he can't break through these thick metal chain."
⟪A⟫ Tell her baby!
The old strict receptionist, went and examined the chains closer, whilst Henry pulled his sudden protective mate closer towards him.
"I'm so hot for you right now." He huskily whispered against her ear, and let out a very, low turned on growl, and planted another kiss by her neckline.
Haru bit her lower lip and pushed him away from her then gave him a strict look, that said 'behave yourself!' Henry winked and smirked before reluctantly placing his hands his back, behaving himself like the perfect gentleman for now.
"No, these clearly look broken to me. I'm calling the police, and banning you from ever coming here."
"No, wait! We--"
Henry then caught the old lady's hand in her and held her hand like a sweet grandmother. He secretly invoked his mind powers and flashed his eyes silver at her.
"What's your name?"
"Mrs Heather Brior."
"May I call you Heather?"
"Yes, dear."
Haru looked shocked as the very strict librarian turned her cold strict nature, into a sudden submissive one.
"Heather, my friend and I wondered in here by mistake. We promise not to do that again, and you must believe me. I didn't break the chain, nor did we take any of the restricted books in here."
"I believe you."
"Thankyou Heather. Here, I've got $200 on me if you wished to get a new chain, and let's forget about you banning us and calling the cops huh?"
"Thankyou dear, you may go I won't call the cops. "
Henry than let go, and grabbed Haru's hand in his and led her out of the aisle.
"What the hell just happened?"
Haru asked clueless, whilst Achilles chuckled inside Henry's soul. She had no idea, that he'd just compelled her completely. A strong mind manipulation power that he possessed, that kept helped kept his feral secret for many, many centuries.
"Just a little harmless, sweet talking and bribery. C'mon let's get you some dessert."
He placed his arm around her making her smile and look at him in sheer amazement.
After their much needed cool dessert, Henry dropped his precious beautiful mate home.
They made out on the porch and soon pulled away, lost in each other's eyes once more.

2 weeks later...
Henry had been swamped with pack work and keeping his territory safe. There had been a rise in rogues lately and he couldn't understand why many were trying to infiltrate his town.
Dante on the other hand, managed to catch one last week.
He tortured the rogue brutally when he killed one of the humans in town.
"What are you doing here?!"
"We're hunting." choked the rogue wolf who spat out blood.
"Hunting for who?"
"Alpha Theo Giovani's stripper girl. She escaped from him around a month ago. We have reason to believe she is hiding somewhere in your town."
The moment, Henry heard his enemies' name from the rogue's mouth, he instantly pulled out his claw and slashed him dead on the spot.
"Great, now we'll never know her name." Dante sighed, as the rogue fell dead, with his blood pooling on the forest ground.
"Call up the clean up crew, and make sure to kill any rogue sent by Theo." Henry turned darkly letting Dante take care of the rest.
The reason why he killed the rogue, was because he didn't want to know Theo's stripper girl's name. He despised everyone and anyone linked to him. If he found out her name, he'd no doubt hunt her down and kill her himself.
For Theo was the reason why, his first mate died. He'd set her house on fire when his first mate rejected him and chose him over Theo. That sly wolf, if he hadn't been weak then he would have easily hunted Theo down and killed him, himself. Unfortunately, Theo had gone into hiding and it wasn't easy finding him.
Henry had mourned the loss of his dear mate, he'd turned into Achilles raging wild with anger. He was slowly loosing himself, and was almost on the brink of self destruction, when the Moon Goddess could no longer stand his plight and grief.
She knew all too well, that he'd been wronged, and she couldn't bare see her child in distress like this. So she promised him, another second chance mate.
At first Henry thought it was Sasha, however he was proven wrong when she cheated on him. He was loosing hope to find his promised mate, but that all changed when Haru walked in his life. She was kind, compassionate, and even though she wasn't a she-wolf.
Henry loved being around her. She gave him and his inner beast, the inner peace he craved. Seeing her made his dark world brighten up again and this time, he'd made sure to protect her.
Missing her, he pulled out his phone to call her.
