Chapter 29 - Final Showdown

The morning sun climbed higher, casting long shadows over the training grounds where the final round of the Circle Rate Game was about to commence. The excitement among the students was palpable as they gathered to witness the climactic battle between Shiro and Tasukeru. Whispers and speculative chatter filled the air, everyone eager to see how the match would unfold.

Shiro stood on one side of the arena, his expression focused and determined. He knew this would be the toughest fight of his life, and he was ready. Across from him, Tasukeru radiated confidence, his divine golden armor gleaming in the sunlight. Both fighters had proven their mettle in previous rounds, and today would be the ultimate test of their skills and determination.

Tengen and John took their places at the edge of the arena, ready to oversee the match. The students watched in anticipation, their eyes fixed on the two warriors.

"Alright, everyone," Tengen announced, his voice carrying over the crowd. "The final round between Shiro and Tasukeru will now begin. Are the fighters ready?"

Shiro and Tasukeru nodded, their eyes locked in a fierce gaze.

"Begin!"

The two fighters sprang into action, their movements a blur. Shiro wasted no time, summoning ten clones of himself. The crowd gasped in astonishment as the arena filled with identical Shiros, each one poised for battle.

Tengen and John exchanged surprised glances. "This is remarkable," Tengen muttered. "Even I can barely manage to create ten clones at once."

Sachi, standing among the spectators, furrowed her brow in confusion. "Why are you so surprised? We all know Shiro can create clones."

John nodded. "It's not that he can create clones that's surprising, but the sheer number. Even with my original ability, creating ten clones simultaneously is incredibly difficult."

Nyla chimed in. "Maybe he's using a tool or potion to enhance his abilities."

Daichi looked concerned. "But is that healthy for him?"

Raiden shrugged. "Doesn't matter. All that matters is winning."

Fujin added, "As long as he doesn't overdo it, he should be fine."

Tasukeru, unfazed by the multitude of Shiros, raised his hands and created a transparent barrier, trapping five of the clones inside. He then cast his spell, "[Fire Magic: Lava River]!" The barrier filled with molten lava, consuming the trapped clones in a fiery inferno.

Meanwhile, the other five Shiros attacked Tasukeru simultaneously, each wielding a different element: fire, water, earth, wind, and light. Tasukeru countered with his own fire magic, expertly dodging and parrying their attacks.

Tasukeru moved with precision and power, striking down one clone after another. He noticed one Shiro lying on the ground, seemingly defeated. With a quick glance, he realized it was just another clone. Just as he anticipated, the real Shiro launched a surprise attack from behind. Tasukeru dodged at the last moment, spinning around to face his opponent.

"You almost had me there," Tasukeru said, a hint of admiration in his voice.

Shiro smirked. "This fight isn't over yet."

Tasukeru dispelled the barrier filled with lava, the molten rock now free to reshape. With a wave of his hand, he formed the lava into a massive dragon. The fiery beast roared, its molten body radiating intense heat as it charged towards Shiro.

Shiro summoned his remaining clones, all of them launching their most powerful spells in a desperate attempt to stop the dragon. But the creature was relentless, plowing through their attacks with ease. One by one, the clones were incinerated, leaving only the real Shiro standing.

With a final, desperate effort, Shiro summoned his own spell, "[Space Magic: Max, Gravity Crush]!" A powerful gravitational force enveloped the lava dragon, compressing it with immense pressure. For a moment, it seemed as though Shiro might succeed in containing the beast.

But Tasukeru was not done yet. He infused the dragon with even more of his ki, strengthening its molten form. With a mighty roar, the dragon broke free of the gravitational pull, surging forward and engulfing Shiro in its fiery maw.

The crowd held their breath as the flames subsided, revealing Shiro lying on the ground, scorched and defeated.

Tengen stepped forward, his voice solemn. "The winner of the final round: Tasukeru!"

The arena erupted in cheers, the students applauding the incredible display of power and skill. Tasukeru walked over to Shiro, extending a hand to help him up.

"You fought valiantly, Shiro. You pushed me to my absolute limits."

Shiro took his hand, a smile of respect on his face. "You were incredible, Tasukeru. You deserved this victory."

The two fighters shook hands, a gesture of mutual respect and camaraderie. As the crowd began to disperse, Tengen and John approached Shiro and Tasukeru.

"That was an impressive display from both of you," John said. "You both have shown incredible growth and determination."

Tengen nodded. "You should both be proud of your performance. This was a fight to remember."

Shiro and Tasukeru exchanged a determined smile before heading back to their respective groups. As the crowd began to disperse, Shiro's friends gathered around him, offering words of encouragement and congratulations.

Sachi hugged Shiro tightly. "You were amazing out there, Shiro. I'm so proud of you."

Mizu nodded, her eyes shining with admiration. "You gave it everything you had. That's what matters."

Nyla stepped forward, her eyes blazing with confidence. "You've proven yourself as a true warrior, Shiro. This is just the beginning."

Fujin and Raiden exchanged a glance before Raiden spoke up. "We'll all be here to support you. Whatever comes next, we'll face it together."

The group spent the evening celebrating and reflecting on the day's events. Despite the tension and exhaustion, there was a sense of camaraderie and unity among them. They knew that this was just the beginning of their journey, and they were ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead.

As night fell, Shiro lay in bed, his mind racing with thoughts of the future. He knew that this was just one battle in a much larger war. With a deep breath, he closed his eyes and let sleep take him, knowing that he was surrounded by friends and allies who would stand by his side no matter what.

Tengen and John took their places at the edge of the arena, ready to oversee the final ceremony. The students watched in anticipation, their eyes fixed on the two warriors who had given their all in the final round.

"Alright, everyone," Tengen announced, his voice carrying over the crowd. "The final match between Shiro and Tasukeru has concluded. Both fighters have shown incredible skill and determination. But there can only be one winner."

John stepped forward, holding a small box in his hands. "The winner of the Circle Rate Game, and the recipient of the prestigious Special Knight title, is Tasukeru!"

The crowd erupted in cheers as Tasukeru stepped forward to receive his prize. He accepted the box from John, a look of pride and gratitude on his face.

"Thank you," Tasukeru said, his voice filled with emotion. "This is a great honor, and I will do my best to uphold the values of the Special Knights."

Shiro stepped forward, a smile of respect on his face. "Congratulations, Tasukeru. You earned this."

Tasukeru nodded. "Thank you, Shiro. And thank you for pushing me to my limits. This victory wouldn't have been possible without you."
