When he got home, he saw that Amy was still asleep, as he had expected.
He quickly changed his clothes and took a shower, intending to sleep until about 3 a.m., when he planned to go out again.
Amy would leave at 2 a.m. and not return until mid-afternoon the next day. When she worked nights, this was her routine, and she got just over 4 hours of sleep a day.
