Chapter 18 - Ghost, The Stranger

"Who are you?" Dylan managed to say but it came out as a whisper.

Dylan doesn't know who this stranger was and didn't want to be his next target. He tried to telepath to Draco but he heard nothing back. He knew he was alone on this and focused his energy and magic on healing himself. He gritted his teeth as he felt more pains, his skins that were missing were regrowing. He was getting weaker and weaker but he needed to patch himself in case he had to defend himself.

After some excruciating painful minutes, he was half patched and extremely weak. He used the wall to steady himself as he got up.

Ethan has transformed back to human and was on his knees bleeding profusely. The half breed walked to him and Dylan hurriedly positioned himself in case he needed to fight.

Dylan punched and kicked the half breed bit he was super fast and dodged every move. The half breed grabbed him but Dylan was fast enough to throw him to the wall. The half breed didn't make any sound to indicate that he was in pain, he just stood up and walked Dylan like nothing happened. Dylan was shocked and began to panic. He ran on the wall again and screamed, he was coming down hard with a kick.

"What the .." Dylan couldn't complete his sentence as he was caught on the leg and positioned in a standing position, Dylan got a glimpse of amusement in the strangers eyes as he was held tightly by the stranger. He struggled out of the stranger's firm grip but he couldn't get out of it.

"Unhand me at once!" Dylan yelled at him and tried to kick him.

The half breed dodged his kicks swiftly, held Dylan tightly and sank his teeth into Dylan's neck. Dylan tried pushing him away but he had already used up the littlest strength he had, he was too weak to do so. He closed his eyes and prepared for the worst but instead he noticed that he was growing stronger and another feeling he could not understand.

Fifty seconds later, the half breed removed his teeth from Dylan's neck and gave him some space.

"What did you do?" Dylan managed to ask after recovery from the shock.

"I will explain later, now you need to deal with him before he becomes strong again." The half breed said as he pointed to Ethan.

Dylan nodded and moved to where Ethan was. He bent over and whispered in his ear, "Rot in Hell with your daughter."

Ethan grabbed Dylan's neck and looked into his eyes, "Fuck…. You." Ethan spurted more blood as he spoke.

Dylan removed Ethan's hand from his neck and his lips curled up to a sinister smile, not breaking his gaze from Ethan's, he slowly bent Ethan's palm and suddenly he broke Ethan's wrist. He moved to Ethan's fingers and broke them one by one. Satisfied with Ethan's screams, he moved to the other finger and did the same, his lips still curled up in a sinister smile.

He gently placed his hand on Ethan's face as if consoling him and with a loud blood curdling laugh, he snapped Ethan's neck. He looked at Ethan's eyes and saw life leave his eyes.

"Who is the boy now?" Dylan asked as he continued to laugh

He held Ethan's dangling head, still laughing with Evil in his eyes, he pulled Ethan's head off his body. Blood splattered on his face as blood spurted out from the head and neck. He slowly licked his lips and smiled as he tasted blood, the sweet flavor of revenge.

He looked at the head and spat on it, he placed it on the floor and with a sudden surge of strength, he smashed and kept ramming his fists on the floor until there was nothing left but little pieces of flesh.

The stranger rested on the wall with his legs crossed and watched everything that happened without any expression on his face.

Poor kid… He said to himself.

Dylan went through a series of emotions but he could only express it through laughter. He crouched down and watched the body of the man who had killed his parents. He was supposed to feel relieved but now that he knew that Ethan was just a pawn in this game of chess, he couldn't feel the joy in kill Ethan until he had reached the person who had ordered the hit.

Dylan stood up abruptly and moved to where the letters were scattered. He picked them and looked at the list that was there. He clenched his free fist and vowed to get them all. He looked around the room and saw books and files that were there. It was going to take them days to go through all of them. He remembered that someone had helped him earlier and turned around to thank him.

The stranger saw Dylan in pain and couldn't stand it anymore, his heart broke seeing him like this. He decided to let him go through his grief. As he was going, he heard Dylan call him from behind.

"Hey, where are you going?" Dylan asked as he saw the stranger leaving the room.

"My work here is done for now." The stranger replied without turning to face him.

"I wanted to say thank you earlier for your help. You saved my life." Dylan shyly thanked him.

"You don't need to thank me, I should be the one thanking you. " The stranger replied, it was hard for Dylan to read his facial expression since the stranger was facing the door and not him.

"Thank me, but I didn't do anything." Dylan replied with a confusion written all over his face.

"I know you don't remember, but with time, you will soon remember me,Dylan." The stranger replied with a hint of sadness in his voice.

"Who are you?" Dylan asked, he was curious about this stranger he has never met but has somehow helped.

"Ghost…. Call me Ghost…" The stranger replied and continued to leave the room.

"Ghost? Why does the name sound familiar to me?" Dylan pondered.

"How can I contact you again?!!" Dylan yelled.

"You don't need to, I am everywhere." Ghost replied and left the room.

Dylan rushed to the door to ask him more questions, but he was no were to be found. He looked down the hall and up the ceiling, there was no way anyone could hide in the hallway filled with lights.

"How did he do that?"
