Just like her grandfather had instructed, Fu Hee did not disturb FangSu, allowing her daughter to freshen up and rest first. FangSu had just come out of the shower when she encountered a servant who placed a plate of sandwiches 🥪, some fruits, and a glass of juice in front of her.
"Please take care of this for now while the kitchen prepares your meal," the servant said, bowing to FangSu.
"You may leave," said FangSu as she settled on the couch in her room.
Once the servant had departed, FangSu picked up her phone and noticed a missed call from Bai Jun. She promptly returned the call with a smile. Bai Jun answered on the first ring, greeting her cheerfully, "SuSu, have you arrived home?"
"Yes, I'm back. I've just freshened up and I'm ready to hit the bed because I'm exhausted," FangSu replied warmly.
"I've just managed to get away from my mother, and as if that wasn't enough, my grandmother showed up and insisted on keeping me," Bai Jun shared across the line.
