Although she seemed to be offering advice, it was clear from her words that there was more going on, and Evelyn immediately thought of Nathan.
"Natalie, I know you're kind-hearted, but in this case, Nathan is truly in the wrong. I'll make sure he apologizes to you personally. Don't do anything so foolish again!"
Nathan's face darkened instantly upon hearing this. Seeing this, Ava quickly patted his arm, signaling him to stay calm.
"Grandma."
At the sound of Ava's voice, Evelyn's concerned expression turned cold in an instant.
"What are you doing here? Haven't you caused enough trouble for Natalie?! She's already in this state, what more do you want?"
"Grandma, Ava means well. Please don't speak about her like that," Natalie interjected, her timing perfect to ease the tension.
