Chapter 306 - Wavering

"Ava, you and Nathan have been through so much to get where you are today. Are you really willing to hand over this life to someone else?"

 

Ava closed her eyes and took a deep breath, her expression still indifferent. "I know what I'm doing, Zoe. Thank you for today."

 

Seeing Ava like this, Zoe felt a pang of worry. Was Ava really stuck in her own stubbornness?

 

"Ava..."

 

"Alright, I've bothered you long enough today. I'll come see you another day." Ava gave Zoe a tired smile. Seeing this, Zoe knew it wasn't the time to push further.

 

He could only watch as Ava left, hoping she might come to terms with things after some time alone. Though trying to reassure himself, Zoe remained worried. In such a situation, Ava would be completely isolated at the Ford house, and there was nothing he could do to help.
