Holding her phone and looking down, lost in thought, Natalie felt a slight movement in her heart and chose to sit at a distance neither too close nor too far from Nathan.
"Mr. Ford, what do you think of Mr. Li from Sunshine Group tonight? Is he someone worth doing business with?"
"Hard to say. Business-wise, he's decent, but his character is questionable. If you decide to work with him, be cautious."
Nathan's voice was indifferent. Hearing this, Natalie felt a bit happy—was Nathan starting to care about her?
But Nathan's mind wasn't on the conversation with Natalie. He was thinking about Ava. He hadn't told Ava he was attending the banquet tonight. Would she be worried if he returned late?
Chris said he'd keep an eye on him, but did he inform Ava about the banquet? Nathan's fingers fidgeted with his phone, unsure whether to call Ava or Chris.
