"Your subordinate?" Nathan repeated Ava's words, quickly sifting through the people in Ava's studio before landing on the final candidate: Thomas.
"Are you talking about Thomas?"
Now that the subject was out in the open, Ava saw no need to hide her thoughts any longer. She looked up at Nathan, her expression cold. "Please don't interfere in my affairs anymore. Although your intentions are good, I don't want you to take out your anger on others because of me and affect their lives."
Ava's tone was icy. Her intent was to prevent Nathan from involving innocent people due to her, but when Nathan heard her mention "taking out your anger on others again," his mind went blank.
