Her expression darkened, the thought of Alex's potentially ruined future weighing heavily on her. Alex could have had such a promising life, yet it was derailed because of her.
Seeing Ava like this, Alex knew that no matter how much he tried to persuade her, she wouldn't change her mind. She was always this stubborn.
"Then take a break, you've been busy all morning. You're making me dizzy just watching you," Alex joked, causing Ava to pause and then smile. She nodded and continued cutting the fruit.
