Patrick's tone was just as roguish as before. Seeing Ava remain silent, he continued speaking nonchalantly. "I've heard quite a bit about what's been going on with you. Do you have some time to meet up? There are things I want to talk to you about." Surprisingly, Patrick felt a rare twinge of nervousness as he said this.
Ava thought for a moment. Patrick reaching out to her now surely meant he had something important to say. "Okay, but I can't stay too long."
Patrick was thrilled when Ava agreed. "No time like the present. How about tonight? I'll send you the location." After hanging up, he was exhilarated. Ava had always been friendly to him, and they had a decent relationship.
