Diana placed the gift she was holding down and looked at Ava with a bright smile. "It's going well, and you? How have you been lately?" Ava told herself to remain calm and collected.

 

"Thanks to you, I'm doing fine. Though this room is quite small, it doesn't compare to that villa at home. Nathan's work schedule makes things quite inconvenient," Diana said with a smile that hinted at her true feelings.

 

Ava inwardly scoffed. It didn't take long for Diana to drop her act, but Ava knew she had to maintain her composure. "Yes, his work does make things difficult. I've tried to talk him out of it, but he doesn't listen. Maybe you could try, Mom? He always listens to you," Ava replied, her expression one of understanding.
