Hearing Nathan's question, Ava let out a cold laugh. "Why he's here doesn't seem to concern you, does it?"
Nathan clenched his fists, his emotions in turmoil, his expression grave. "Ava, do you really want to talk to me like this?"
Ava raised an eyebrow, her face revealing a knowing look. "You're right, I shouldn't put it that way. I should say, the baby I'm carrying is actually Patrick's."
Patrick, who was just as surprised: "?!"
"Ava, you know I didn't mean it that way!" Nathan's heart ached; this situation was the last thing he wanted.
"Patrick, do me a favor and get him out of here. His presence is really ruining my mood."
Although Patrick didn't know the specifics of what had transpired between Nathan and Ava, he was more than happy to oblige.
