Chapter 81 - The IPOW tryouts from the Abyss

Kibe would wake up in his bed, Himmy next him. Kibe got up out of bed, his routine would begin as he put together his clothes and got into his school uniform. As he made his way to Sawa High he began to remember some of what Kenji had told him yesterday.

"The IPOW has a structure, no student can just claim to be a good representative for their school, much less Japan. They need to win in popularity. They to show everyone and the staff of the IPOW that they are unique. Gifted and most of all-"

"Special." Kibe thought as he appeared in front of the gates of his school. His eyes watched as everyone walked about, moving, and doing their daily routine. Kibe walked inside, he got himself ready and began to make his way to class when as he walked up the stairs to his classroom's level when Hideaki would walk from behind a wall and pat Kibe on the shoulder. Kibe looked at him. "You and me need to talk Mr.Nori." Hideaki said.

"I have class in just 5 minutes." Kibe answered. "Don't worry, I've already spoken with your teacher." Hideaki said as he patted Kibe's shoulder once more before walking to the right down another hallway. Kibe watched him for a moment before he followed him. Behind Kibe and down the stairs watching him was Mi. She then walked away out of sight, Kibe would stop, his head turning slightly towards her direction before he kept walking after Hideaki. The two would then walk into a the conference room. Kibe walked in and looked around, he saw Rin looking at a mirror. Fixing her makeup, and Katsumi playing checkers with Cho who was licking a lollipop.

Hideaki walked over to two seats and gestured for Kibe to sit while he took his own seat. Kibe sat down, placing his bag on the ground next to him. Hideaki relaxed and looked at Kibe before looking outside.

"You know my father always would wake up st the crack of dawn. Stare at the coming sun and would always say how beautiful the morning was. And how any day, so long as the world is still spinning, and the plants still breathing; is a good day." Hideaki said. Kibe took a breath as he looked at Hideaki.

"Can we, if you don't mind. Skip the life lesson intro and get to why you brought me here." Kibe said. Hideaki smirked. A wise chuckle from Cho across the room caught Kibe's eye. "An indulgence a day, keeps the bad things away heheh." Cho giggled. Kibe's eyes briefly went from her and back to Hideaki.

"So, the IPOW tryouts. They're pretty much traditional. Its required each school have a representative. But they can only be chosen through the people themselves or better to say, they can only be picked if their school has chosen them." Hideaki said. Kibe just looked at him. "And you're here to tell me that I need to gain some influence or I'll be stomped out by the competition." Kibe said.

"Yes, and unfortunately. You are...not that interesting. Luckily, I had a idea to get you the influence you need to compete." Hideaki said as Cho brought over a silver tray and placed it between Kibe and him. Kibe looked down at it and saw it was a silver tea set. He reached down to see his cup. It looked to be filled with coffee, yet the scent his nose picked up was-

"cocoa mass, sugar, cocoa butter, emulsifiers, aroma, and milk...its chocolate. Chocolate milk." Kibe thought as he then looked to Cho. She smiled at Kibe as she skipped to her small corner of the room, Kibe thought about her for a moment before then sitting up again.

"So Kibe, tell me. How would you finally feel about joining the student council?" Hideaki asked, thats when the room seemed to gain a new level of silence. One that was loud yet had no sound. Kibe's eyes went around the room. Rin, Cho and Katsumi all were looking at him. Kibe's attention then went back to Hideaki. "He clearly has another agenda with this proposal. He wants to keep me close, get to know me. This could be dangerous, I haven't gotten a chance to canvas him since Bato and Hawaii.

I can't let my guard down. Not even for a second. However in times where a greater enemy is revealed, your enemy's enemy shall be your friend." Kibe thought as he then sat back in the chair and took a breath.

"I understand. You want me at a place of power. Making it easier for me to gain influence, not only that; but because the tryout is via choice of the mass. What better then to have it while I try to become the latest member of the council." Kibe said. "Precisely, kill two birds with one stone." Hideaki said. Kibe nodded and then stood up at the same time as they both shook hands. Hideaki smiled as Kibe just stared, his face unchanged even now.

"He must be thinking that I plan to sabotage him. That I'm going to make his life difficult, however its the contrary. If anything, I'm looking forward to seeing what you can do. Nori Kibe. Everything about you that I've heard and seen, will allow me to gage you more then ever." Hideaki thought as he smirked. Kibe took a brief notice of it before the two stopped shaking hands.

"QUESTION!" Shouted Cho getting Kibe and Hideaki'd attention. "Yes Cho?" Answered Hideaki.

"Does this mean I'll have to share my candy with him?" Cho asked with a pout. Kibe raised an eyebrow at the question. "Heh, no Cho. No you won't." Hideaki Answered.

"Don't be so childish Ido." Rin said as she walked over and looked to Kibe with a devilish grin. She stared him up and down.

"Welcome to the parade Mr.Nori." Rin smiled as she walked past him. Kibe would later be in his classroom sitting down listening to his teacher going over the philosophy of the abyss in thelema. How Crowley's theoretical framework can also integrate elements of Hermeticism and Gnostcism. The concept of the Abyss aligns with the Hermetic idea of the separation between the material world and the divine Pldroma, as well as the Gnostic notion of the soul's journey through various planes of existence.

As Kibe continued to stare, the world around him turned black. A pitch blackness, one so void and empty that the colors one would use for a void. Things such as black and white would do it a folly to this abyssal look. Kibe would stand as he was present in this place.

"This is me. This all encompassing void."

Kibe would see the faces of those who he's truly met. Rin, Kenji, Tatsuo, Takashi, Ryota, Brandon and Mr.Miyuki. They all were either eaten or exposed to it in a way that made their own lifestyle and views on reality, fallible.

Kibe views were above this void. Hovering and or dangling like a sort of forbbien fruit for the alien world. One that they knew was there, yet like the tree of knowledge from the garden of eden itself; knew it was not to be eaten. Such great voids, when encountering or being added to. Will greet or propose to the other.

Kibe's mental compass when it came to all things relating such concepts, would find itself running a track it is already familiar with. As it not only paved the it, but refined it. Kibe would reopen his eyes to see Mi standing in front of him. Class had come to an end.

"...Hi." Mi said.

"Greetings." Kibe said.
