Chapter 67 - The Assassination Games! Test#1: Teamwork and Dead weight, part 4

Kibe got ready as Suzue got ready to attack him. His and her mind began to think of weaknesses and strengths that each of them had. Kibe put his hands to his side as he stared her down, Suzue also stated at Kibe. In her eyes she saw a very linear looking man. One who if faced upfront, could cut her in half.

Kibe saw a storm of knives. What he did next would result in just how many cuts he could get. Thats when Suzue would blitz towards Kibe, the effects of her speed present, but it was if her image was delayed in Kibe's eyes.

"An after-image." Kibe thought as he then dodged Suzue's attack from her blade, by leaned back about 90⁰. She then landed in front of him and delivered a leg sweep to which Kibe jumped over and back from. He landed on his feet. Suzue then blitzed forward at Kibe again and attempted to go for his eyes with two fingers. Yet Kibe simply moved his head out of the way and grabbed her arm and misdirected her towards the wall of the building next to them.

Suzue however didn't go too far before she backfliped back and over Kibe. Kibe watched her as he then got up and moved backwards. "Impressive, I'm curious what it is you do." She asked.

"Just the violin and cooking." Kibe said. Suzue scoffed at him as she then reached to her side and threw three kunai at Kibe. He would reach back and grab the lid of a trashcan and block them. Kibe then smelt a small yet distrustful scent from the kunai. He then threw the trash lid to the side.

"Hmm, that smell. Nerium." Kibe thought as he covered his nose with one hand. He then took a step back a bit. He shook his head as the toxins from it tried to invade his body. Suzue then got her blade and rushed at Kibe.

"If poisons is what you need to get the better of me. Then perhaps you should consider a different profession." Kibe said as Suzue then went and delivered a heel kick to Kibe's chest sending him back, and hitting the wall. She then went up and attempted multiple strikes at his chest and head, yet Kibe deflected them to the wall before he then kneed her in the chest, which would be stopped by her own knee. Kibe then extended his leg forcing her back. Kibe could feel his breath getting hasty, sweat began to form on his forehead. The toxins beginning to have some sort of effect.

"It'll be attempting to shut down my systems. I can't let that happen. The moment I fall she'll kill me.

...work through it. Overcome it." Kibe thought as he saw Suzue then get out another blade. A shorter one.

"35% should be enough to completely dispel it. And to finish this." Kibe thought. Suzue rushed at Kibe again. Only this time when she went to strike at him. Only for Kibe to immediately run and slide to her. She looked down as Kibe then kicked her right in the jaw with the bottom of his foot and sent her flying into the air. However, as he did, he'd see her immediately regain herself and throw her blades at him. Kibe blocked them, yet it seemed they missed. She then plummeted down at him.

Kibe went to move, but he couldn't. He then looked to see that one of her blades went through some slack in his right pants leg. Which was impressive to Kibe. As his pants fit him perfectly, which meant she somehow managed to stab through his pants leg, and miss his leg yet get a small gap between them.

"Impressive." Kibe thought as he looked up at her just as she came down to deliver a drop kick which he dodged. She then went to grapple her legs around his neck, but Kibe would grab her leg and then toss her away a few feet. She twisted her leg which swung her body around. Allowing for her to land on her feet. She took small breaths as she watched Kibe pull the blade from the ground, freeing his leg. He looked at her. He then grabbed the blade itself with both hands.

"Tell me, where do you come from? Some sort of lost village? Someplace in China?

Or maybe you're just some women with a fascination of the ways of ninjutsu." Kibe asked.

"I am a ninja. I've been taught by many men, stood under waterfalls for weeks at a time. I've shattered and remended my bones more times than I've used them." Suzue said "Sounds painful." Kibe replied.

"Enough! I'm not here to get to know you." Suzue said aggressively.

"Isn't that exactly what a fight is? Getting to know someone. I don't know about you. But I've gotten to know you very well while we've been doing this little dance." Kibe said. Suzue just stared at him.

"Over 30% maye have been pushing it, better to let down. 25 should do it." Kibe thought.

"Just what is up with this guy? I know half of the moves I've done would have had any grown man on his knees. Yet...he is unfazed by it. Even the toxins from my kunai had no effect.

Am I to assume that this isn't a man at all that I'm facing now?" Suzue thought. All while Kibe was staring at her with a cold and unchangeable blank and unamused face. "Just what the hell are you thinking Kibes!" Suzue thought with her face showing a more pissed off look.

"Its been a while since I had some tea. Doesn't seem like they had any in the tavern or any around here. Maybe checking out the other places will show some results." Kibe thought. Thats when Suzue would blitz behind Kibe, grabbing her blade again in the process. She then swung it down onto Kibes head to which he instantly side-stepped faster than Suzue could perceive. So fast she had thought that for a few moments he was still standing infront of her.

Kibe then quickly went ahead and punched her in the stomach. The impact sounding like a bang. Kibe noticed though, the moment he did. His fist moved no further. He looked to see that his fist had barley dented her.

"...What?" Kibe thought as Suzue then turned to slice at his neck. Yet Kibe in that instant ducked and would kick her away putting 35% of his strength into it. The attack pushed her all the way back, slamming aginst the wall. She let out a loud grunt as she collapsed.

It would be a few minutes before Suzue then woke up with Kibe lightly tapping her face with his palm. "Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey." Kibe said. Suzue then woke up completely. She looked up at Kibe who then stood up and offered his hand. She ignored it and got up on her own. She stabilized herself via the wall behind her. Her eyes and Kibe's met one another.

"Alright...I think, ugh, that will do." She grunted. To which Kibe nodded. She got up and slowly walked behind Kibe who walked ahead of her. "You...you aren't human. That strength. I've faced beast with the strength to kill ten men. Yet you are more than that. Just what are you?" She asked as they returned to the front of the tavern where Usuda was still waiting.

"I'm a regular guy. Looking for a way to make some easy money helping out a couple of rich people get their own in the process." Kibe said as he turned to her. She looked at him, it was clear he was lying, but to uncover the lie would be harder than her fight with him. She let him get his walls up, for now. They all heard the commotion going on a few streets down. Kibe, Usuda and Suzue all walked there to see what was going on.

A few streets down in fake town, it was in the town hall. All the other competitors were in there. Three were sitting at a table drinking. Two were having a conversation and two more sitting away from everyone else. The town hall was large, other offices filled the halls. Doors shut and windows vacant of any sign if life. Yet the halls were decorated with the sounds of the people in them. Of the competitors.

Thats when Suzue, Usuda and Kibe walked inside. Kibe eye's were given a buffet of things to observe and witness. He saw each of them. As they walked he heard their names being said and them saying them.

Sidney Cramer, she was wearing a gold dress. Her hair was a twisty and curly blonde color. Her eyes were fairly wide, and colored oddly as she had a pigmentation where both eyes were different colors. One a dark brown and the other a light blue. She had a smile that could cut diamonds. Her nails could be just as sharp too. There wasn't much information he could hear others say about her. There was word that she could be Swedish, however that didn't stick too much. There was some word that Telaga had asked her to sleep with him, which she refused very smoothly.

The next one was Edward Fishman, he was a man with a darker pigmentation. His skin was dark yet had white spots on it as well. He wore black gloves and had short dark hair. His clothing was more rough and street thuggish. Wearing a black hoodie with pants and sneakers. He noticed he didn't have a African or native accent. His seemed more Irish. His mannerisms showed a drifter, someone on the edge. He lived everyday like its his last. He sat leaning back.

Klaudia Hoogan, she was a scandinavian woman. Tall and thin. She was wearing a sort of skintight spandex suit. All black. A fox fur coat on her shoulders. She was smoking a large cigar as whe sat in a luxurious seat near by Telaga. Her accent, Kibe could tell it was thick. Her entire personality and stature showed power, woman of strength and integrity.

Finally, the last person was Gill Ophin. He was a man of brick walls. Sturdy foundations is what made him. The man was wearing a black t-shirt and suit pants with dress shoes. He had on an expensive watch and necklace of the cross. He had multiple tattoos of what looked to be something from the Caribbean. Kibe, Usuda and Suzue all walked over to a small waiting area and sat down. Suzue stood next to Usuda's seat while Kibe looked and monitored everyone.

"The termination is starting soon. Which means after that. There will be another test...I-I don't know if I can-"

"Dont think. Plans get in the way of survival. Once your good enough at predicting things, then you'll know when to move forward and when not to." Kibe said. Usuda nodded nervously. "We don't know anyone here. Going to be hard to pick someone without pissing off the others." Suzue said. Kibe nodded as he tapped on his chin.

"Which is why we're going to do some people watching. Usuda and Suzue, you two should scope around. Talk, but not too much to the others. What we're looking for is the society here." Kibe said. Suzue looked at Usuda and then to Kibe.

"A society?" She asked "Yes, in any group of isolated people. A norm must be made. A hierarchy so to speak. Someone needs to be the popular one, I'm guessing thats Sidney over there. Someone has to be the tough and stoic one. The real hard rock in the fray.

I'm guessing thats Telaga Randolph. The big burlly man with the robotic prosthetics. With those two found out the rest are just schematics." Kibe said. "W-what are you going to do?" Usuda asked.

"Mmmm, I think I'll stay here. I like to keep my variables undisturbed." Kibe said. "And sending us isn't disturbing them?" Usuda asked nervously.

"Not at all. Now please, I need to focus." Kibe said as he sat and watched everyone. Suzue and Usuda walked away. Kibe looked over at Suzue for a moment before looking back to everyone. "Telling them of the extra contestant among these people would be stirring things. An extra contestant does make plans more complicated. However, if he were to get someone eliminated, then the results of the entire test will change." Kibe thought as his eyes searched around. He was looking for the mysterious contestant he saw before, yet saw no one.

"Gone. As expected. Why would the infiltrator stick around. If his attempt is to sabotage the games or win. Then it'd be wise for him to evade suspicion.

Although, if he really desired to change the outcome forever. He'd really be in for getting someone eliminated. Anyone but him and the entire game changes. I guess I only have one question. Just where would he be if everyone is right here." Kibe thought, thats when he would feel a light chop to the head. Kibe turned around and saw it was noother then the very person he was just thinking about. The mystery contestant. "Yo, how's it going?" Asked the stranger. Kibe just stared at him as the guy gave him a wide and friendly smile.

"Nevermind." Kibe thought.
