The story takes place in a far distant land beyond the sea, a gloomy dark land,
The sun barely shines,
at first glance, u will feel like this place is abanded by god
Yet there was a thing that made this place special, that no one can dream
Now you may be asking how we know of a dream if we don't experience it
And the answer to that is trade
In this place, we trade goods with other travelers' dreams, because what is a human if does not seek the things he doesn't have
That is why we trade what this land has to offer and we have to offer
For we are but humans eager to feed on those dreams.
On a Saturday night, I usually gather with some friends of mine at my house
But this time was different
This time I was walking alone down the shores I don't know what came to me that day but I felt like something or someone was calling for me
Though my eyes saw nothing I got bored and decided to head back,
Then
I heard a noise i looked back only to see a man with dark messy hair and brown eyes the other eye seemed to be covered by a scar his clothes were torn
And I can see he was floating on a piece of wood so I figured he was a traveler and that something happened to his ship.
I came to his aid i put him on the land and checked if he was alive
And yes he was
I stood there thinking for a few moments
Fearing of the origin of this man
If he will bring chaos in case I bring him into my cabin
Thinking and thinking I heard the man mumbling a bit
But I did not make anything of what he said
I gave up thinking and then,
I decided to head home with him
But part of me was eager for something
Eager to see what this man will offer when he wakes and eager to know his story
I head back with him until dark sky has set upon our heads i open the door and put him in the whool part of dried sheepskin
For that is what I sleep on usually
After some time, the man woke up
He didn't say a word I decided to
gave him food and some water
He continues to say nothing
After more time he talked
And it seemed that he knew our language yet it was not perfect
He thanked me and explained to me what had happened to him and his crew
In his travels
I listened carefully and my face was so amused by what I heard that I was eager to know more and more about his travels
But that is a story for another time
I noticed something
He was relieved about a thing
You can tell that by his face
And no it wasn't that he was safe now or neither that he was fed
I chose to ignore it for now
I asked him his name
He answered in a deep voice :
"Asad people call me Asad a far traveler from the east seeking to know the sea more and eager for adventure and to get rid of something that troubles me
For this was my second time I left my hometown "
He said something else:
" you people trade in dreams right, it gives u fuel or that's what I heard from someone I met long ago about this place so, how about I tell u a dream as thanks for ur deeds "
