When we reached fifty meters from the bottom of the sea, space distorted before us. Black cracks combined with red, purple, and white light flashed through it, almost like hissing snakes lunging forward to bite us.
"This is it. The objects inside are so powerful that space can't hold them together. Look, the tears in space regenerate and reopen endlessly."
I looked carefully after Nyssa's explanation and saw that she was right. The cracks narrowed and expanded in turns like in a war of tug with no side getting any advantage over the other.
"Then how did the crack get so big to begin with?" I asked. There was a literal hole in space. Ten people could enter it at once. If there was an equilibrium, it should've stopped expanding on the first centimeter.
