It was time for lunch now. It had been over three hours since I left the house for 'school', and I was starving. The girls were not available, but my good friend, Leo, would come running for free food in a fancy place!
Then some people with ill intentions claim I don't care about my friend, that I put hoes before bros. Let them all see, me taking my good man for a meal, my treat. Kind of. A person of virtue like myself would never leave behind his friends only because he met better ones.
I fished in my pocket for my phone and quickly dialed Leo's number. It rang twice before he picked up.
"Hey, Nick! What's up?" Leo's cheerful voice came through the line.
"Hey, Leo! Fancy having lunch with me? I've got a reservation at Jade Palace," I said, trying to sound casual despite the excitement bubbling up inside me. Not any day one could play it cool while pretending to throw thousands of dollars without really throwing them.
