Everyone's excitement was palpable, even the usually calm and composed Urouge showed signs of enthusiasm, his face slightly flushed with anticipation.
Raphael, always the most impulsive, was the first to express his excitement. "God, this idea is absolutely incredible! Imagine my legion filled with fire-breathing angels—that would be amazing!"
Webber, ever the rival, couldn't resist taking a jab. "Hmph, your sense of aesthetics is questionable at best."
Raphael, surprisingly, didn't engage further, simply rolling his eyes in disdain. It seemed he had learned to pick his battles.
Yana, her eyes filled with admiration, gazed at Arthur and asked softly, "God, what exactly do you have in mind?"
Arthur, unfazed by the attention, explained calmly, "It's simple. To evolve their abilities, they must face challenges on dangerous islands. Over the past few years, Jessica and I have scouted locations around the world for this purpose."
He continued, "All they need is bravery and determination. With a steady supply of IQ grass, they can develop their own chosen abilities within a year or two."
Yana, however, seemed to sulk slightly at the mention of Jessica, her enthusiasm dimming just a bit as she nodded, though clearly not entirely pleased.
Urouge then raised a thoughtful question, "As legion commanders, should we also undergo this trial to evolve our abilities?"
Arthur paused, considering Urouge's point. His initial plan had been to find the right Devil Fruits for the commanders, ensuring they gained abilities suitable for their roles. But Urouge's suggestion had merit—if the commanders' abilities aligned with those of their team members, it would strengthen their leadership.
After a moment's thought, Arthur addressed the group. "I've been pondering this as well. Whether you should undergo the trial to gain abilities has been on my mind. But I want to hear your thoughts."
A silence fell over the group. The allure of gaining powers through Devil Fruits was strong, but the rarity of those fruits, especially the Paramecia and Logia types they desired, made this opportunity even more enticing.
Finally, Urouge spoke up, his resolve clear. "I believe I should undergo the trial and gain abilities that align with my team members. But I worry if this might conflict with Devil Fruit powers."
Arthur reassured him, "There's no conflict. The abilities gained from the IQ grass are inherent to your body, while Devil Fruit powers are external. They can coexist, allowing your wings to evolve and grow stronger."
Urouge nodded, his decision solidified. "Then, I will take on the trial and gain abilities alongside my team."
Arthur looked around at the remaining captains. "What about the rest of you? There's no pressure—this is entirely your choice."
Yana, still gazing at Arthur with admiration, was the first to speak again. "I'm willing!"
Arthur nodded, acknowledging her decision. He was accustomed to her attention by now, and made a mental note to address it when the time was right.
Webber, after a moment of hesitation, finally agreed. "I'm in too!"
Raphael quickly followed suit. "Me too!"
One by one, the captains expressed their willingness to take on the trial, ready to push their limits and evolve alongside their teams. Arthur knew this was just the beginning of a new chapter for the Enkai Island and the Ten Angel Legion.
"I do!"
"I do!"
The nine appointed legion commanders, all fired up with enthusiasm, were unanimous in their decision to participate in the trial and gain abilities aligned with their regiments.
Arthur was momentarily taken aback by their collective agreement. "You... all of you?" he asked, surprised at their eagerness.
Naz stepped forward and explained, "God, you made it clear that this evolution belongs to the body itself and doesn't conflict with Devil Fruit abilities. So, if we can gain a new ability from our own evolution, why wouldn't we do it?"
The others nodded in agreement, clearly sharing Naz's sentiments.
Arthur, realizing the collective determination of his commanders, smiled and stood up. "That's good!" he exclaimed, clapping his thigh. "Now, go choose the angels who are willing to serve as your deputy leaders and members."
He continued, "Remember, apart from yourselves, you need to select two deputy commanders, ten team leaders, and one hundred members for your legions. Choose the best-suited subordinates; the rest will serve as reserves and guards."
"Yes!" they responded in unison, their resolve clear.
"But..." A hesitant voice suddenly interrupted.
Arthur turned his attention to Camachelli, who had spoken. "Huh? What's on your mind?"
"God, what criteria should we use to make our choices? Do you have any suggestions or plans?"
Arthur chuckled, realizing he had forgotten to provide guidance. "Ah, right! Since you're all choosing to undergo evolution, I'll give you some recommendations. Feel free to raise objections if you have any."
He then began assigning each commander a specific focus for their legions:
"Urouge, with your immense strength and fruit power, your legion should focus on metallization. You'll lead the Kong, or the Steel Angels!"
"Naz, your speed is unmatched, so your legion will be the Streamline, the Swift Angels!"
"Yana..." Arthur paused, noticing her hopeful gaze. He glanced at the bow and arrow she carried, smiling slightly before continuing, "Your legion will be Hanbing, the Frost Angels!"
"Raphael, your love for flames is well-known. Your legion will be Blaze, the Fire Angels!"
Raphael grinned broadly, casting a triumphant look at Webber, who met it with a look of disdain.
"Webber, your legion will be Thunder, the Electric Angels!"
Webber glanced at Arthur, nodding silently. Despite his calm exterior, his eyes shone with excitement and satisfaction.
"Hmm, Thunder..." Raphael muttered, suddenly feeling that Webber's designation might be even cooler than his own.
"Raki, yours will be Radiance, the Light Angels."
"Wald, your legion will be Haki, the Strength Angels!"
"Mantis, yours will be Void, the Phantom Angels."
Arthur then moved on to the absent Enel. "As for Enel, he will lead the Super God, the Wisdom Angels."
Finally, Arthur turned to Braham. He hesitated, realizing that Braham's strength was commendable, but his personality didn't quite fit the role of commanding the Shadow Stream Angels, who specialized in stealth and intelligence gathering.
After a moment of contemplation, Arthur said, "Braham, you'll command the Guard. The last legion, the Shadow Stream Angels—Dark Angels responsible for tracking, hiding, and probing—needs a different type of leader. For now, we'll leave that position open and find someone more suitable later."
Though Braham was slightly disappointed, he understood the reasoning behind Arthur's decision and didn't feel slighted. Arthur's assignments were logical and well thought out, and Braham knew his strengths lay elsewhere.
With that, the foundation of the Ten Angel Legions was set. Each commander now had a clear directive, and all that remained was for them to select their angels according to the unique traits and requirements of their respective legions.
"Alright, that's settled," Arthur concluded. "Now, let's talk about the functions and capabilities of each legion!"
As Arthur spoke, his eyes gleamed with excitement. The Ten Angel Legions—destined to become a force that would shake the world—were on the verge of being born under his guidance.
