Chapter 52 - Chapter 52

Dracule Mihawk boldly sailed through the New World's Grand Line on a coffin-shaped boat, venturing alone in search of Shanks for a drink in the New World.

Aokiji traveled the world on a bicycle, accompanied by his penguin, navigating through the New World.

Rayleigh bravely crossed the treacherous Calm Belt on a small boat, which eventually broke down, forcing him to swim to safety.

Arthur believes there's a slight gap between these legendary figures, but it's not insurmountable. As a user of the Goro Goro no Mi (Thunder-Thunder Fruit), capable of generating 400 million volts, navigating the New World's challenges is manageable for him.

Four days earlier, after stopping at three islands for supplies, Arthur's ship finally reached Iron Island without any interruptions. He had been away from the sky island for over three months.

The island had been partly devoured by giant lantern mackerels, leaving only half of it intact.

This particular sea area was Arthur's destination this time, with a specific purpose in mind.

The sea where the lantern mackerel swallowed pure gold!

Pure gold is a special metal known for granting immortality to living beings upon contact.

In the original theater version, the scientist who created pure gold and his daughter survived for two hundred years by wearing a ring made of a small amount of pure gold. Over those two centuries, the scientist only gained weight from eating, while his daughter's appearance hardly changed, remaining youthful as if only one or two years old.

In essence, pure gold has the power to slow down aging drastically, extending vitality from one year to one hundred or two hundred years, if not more.

This means that wearing a ring made of pure gold could potentially grant Arthur a lifespan of tens of thousands of years. However, he hesitates because his body hasn't reached its full maturity yet, and wearing it prematurely might not be beneficial.

After some contemplation, Arthur realizes that pure gold isn't just for personal use; it could also benefit his loved ones. His wives are old enough and flourishing, and with pure gold, they could remain forever young—a source of happiness for them all.

During his three-day exploration in this area, Arthur encounters several New World merchant ships, two passing pirate ships, and even three pirate ships actively seeking pure gold.

The pirate ships that approached Arthur's ship with the same intention were swiftly dealt with using Arthur's formidable 300 million volt attack.

In this area of the sea, Arthur would exert his Observation Haki to its fullest every day, exploring for a while before stopping due to exhaustion.

Three days passed without any significant discoveries, leading Arthur to wander for three more days.

As night fell on the sixth day, Arthur was preparing supper when a sudden burst of light caught Berry's attention through the window.

"What's that?" Arthur set down his plate and peered outside, puzzled by the intense shining in the ocean, growing larger and brighter.

"Could it be... the anglerfish!" Arthur's eyes widened with excitement as he rushed to the boat's deck.

Indeed, a massive figure emerged slowly beneath the sea—a colossal fish mouth breaking through the surface, causing currents to shift even kilometers away.

Arthur's boat drifted toward the fish's mouth. Rather than halting, Arthur accelerated, steering the boat directly into the gaping map.

With a sudden jolt, the vessel entered a bizarre realm—Arthur realized he was now inside the fish's belly. The taste was unpleasant, with hints of rot and sourness.

However, as the lantern anglerfish had just opened its mouth, fresh air had entered, tempering the smell somewhat.

This fish is truly remarkable; its lantern light illuminates its interior, creating a daytime-like atmosphere.

Once inside the anglerfish's belly, Arthur activated his senses, taking in the atmosphere and scents within.

The anglerfish, capable of swallowing half an island, was colossal, resembling a massive landmass. Arthur sensed the presence of tens of thousands of life forms when he focused his senses.

Most of these life forms emitted animal-like breaths, but two stood out as distinctly human. Arthur easily identified them as Botu and her daughter, as he recalled from the original theater version.

"Let's start by finding the doctor's daughter. What was her name again? The girl who's lived for two hundred years?" Arthur leaped off the boat, determined to locate the doctor's daughter within the same stomach.

Interestingly, the female presence coincided with his location within the stomach, explaining how the doctor's daughter could venture outside in the original story.

While Arthur could directly access the third stomach and obtain pure gold, he respected the genius scientist who created it. Thus, he intended to locate the maker of the pure gold belt and offer assistance.
