After hearing Dorry and Brogy's tale, Jessica gasped, covering her mouth in astonishment. "Wow! You've been battling for centuries. That's amazing."
Dorry and Brogy beamed happily. "Giants like us always chat and keep track, no winners or losers here. We're not leaving anytime soon."
After a bit of conversation, Arthur couldn't resist sharing why he came to the little garden.
ou're talking about Armament Haki?" Brogy scratched his head, his response disappointing Arthur.
"We're not into that," Dorry and Brogy said, glancing at Arthur.
"That's right," Arthur sighed, though he wasn't entirely discouraged.
Over at Twin Gorges, Coracos, the ship doctor from One Piece, awaited Arthur and the island whale Rab. Since they couldn't bring two giants, they planned to try their luck at Coke Cos.
"But I do know about mastering Armament Haki," Dorry added.
In that moment, Arthur recalled a line : life's full of surprises and challenges. His disappointment faded as excitement filled his thoughts.
"Do you really know how to practice Armament Haki? Earlier, you said you couldn't," Arthur questioned.
"We're familiar with it. In the latter part of our journey, the method of training in Armament Haki is quite common, and almost everyone can easily access it," Dorry explained.
"For us giants, it's due to our unique physique. We're born large, with bodies and strength far surpassing humans, so cultivating Armament Haki requires more effort compared to humans."
"But being here fighting or resting for a century, we haven't had time to focus on Armament Haki training," Brogy added.
"That's fantastic! I've been searching for a way to train in Armament haki and Haki. Dorry, Brogy, can you guide me?" Arthur looked at them eagerly.
Meanwhile, as a noblewoman, Jessica felt a bit suspicious. Not knowing much about Haki herself, she paid close attention to Arthur's request, sensing its importance.
The giants chuckled at Arthur's request. "You've brought us good wine, brother. Teaching the cultivation of Armament Haki isn't something precious. Besides, even if it were, it wouldn't matter!"
They then proceeded to explain the training methods for Armament Haki.
Armament Haki, akin to sight, hearing, and observation, is a power that anyone can develop. It relies on a certain level of physical strength to initiate cultivation.
Similar to the inner energy or qi in martial arts tales, it evolves from weak to strong, from transparent and unseen practice to solid and black, blending with the fruit's ability to display varying hues. Regardless of its advancement, it remains unseen and colorless.
In summary, Arthur was thrilled to receive the Armament Haki training method, knowing it would enable him to start practicing Armament colors earlier and become very formidable during turbulent times.
After learning the practice techniques, Arthur made the first attempts. He sensed a unique power within his body, poised and ready. Given Arthur's current physical strength, it wouldn't be long before he could begin intensive training in Armament Haki.
Satisfied with the solution, Arthur proposed a challenge to Dorry and Brogy, "Shall we spar? Since we can't determine a winner or loser, why not engage in a friendly match? Whoever endures the longest wins, or whoever lands the first blow wins?"
"What!?" Three voices exclaimed simultaneously, surprising Jessica and the two giants.
"Really? Can you handle it?" Arthur grinned.
"We're both born warriors, giants. You won't be our match, and we can't harm you," Brogy replied seriously, echoed by Dorry's agreement.
"Don't worry! I'm incredibly strong! Ever heard of Logia Devil Fruit users? I'm the Thunder Man with the Thunder Fruit. Without Armament Haki, you can't touch me," Arthur boasted, causing astonishment among the trio.
"Thunder Fruit!?" Jessica's face contorted in disbelief. Dorry and Brogy, too, were taken aback.
The Thunder Fruit was renowned as a top-tier ability, making encountering a Thunder Fruit user unexpected.
Nevertheless, Dorry and Brogy agreed to the challenge, acknowledging the credibility of Arthur's claim. "Let's give it a try. Defeating a Logia user may be tough, but we won't back down!"
"Absolutely! But you're bound to lose! I just wonder who can last the longest. The one who lasts the longest wins. What do you say? This way, we can settle our differences and head back to Elbaf. Deal?"
As Arthur spoke, the expressions on the giants' faces turned complex. They had longed to return home, not only for their homeland and friends but also for their wives. However, they had stayed behind to compete for the top spot that year, bound by their heavy promises.
"Alright, we agree! But it's not about who lasts the longest, it's about who defeats you first! We are Elbaf's warriors!" Dorry declared, his pride evident.
Brogy nodded in agreement.
"Let's get started then!" Arthur laughed and vanished in a flash of lightning, reappearing in the vast clearing before the volcano.
What followed was a grueling battle. Arthur, who had honed his fruit to emit 280 million volts, wielded hundreds of millions of volts in his hands. The giants, however, couldn't
lay a finger on him.
At first, the giants endured, but as time wore on, they cried out in pain. Yet, driven by their determination to win, they kept getting back up.
In the end, even Arthur felt drained and unable to continue, but it was Brogy who finally couldn't rise again.
