Chapter 3 - Chapter 3 : Pawns on the board

Emily was left alone in one of the stores. She noticed, looking outside Lea and Aiden reuniting, leaving her to do something else. She didn't say a word and looked down at the piece of clothing she was feeling with her fingers, sighing.

"Wasn't that Aiden?" Suddenly a voice murmured next to her.

She turned around to see who spoke and it was two men talking to each other while looking in the direction Lea and her man had left. If Lea were still here she would recognize one of the two. It was the fourth man in the parking lot scene, the quiet one.

'They know him?' Emily pondered.

The other responded to his friend, "Yeah, it's been a while no?"

"Heard he joined a mafia that's why he disappeared on socials too."

"What?"

"Which one?"

"The Azakis I think."

"Man... hope he doesn't get himself killed out there."

They spoke while getting further away from where Emily stood, leaving her utterly stunned by what she heard. 'Aiden?? In a mafia??? Does Lea know??' She started biting her fingers, not knowing what to do and how to handle this situation as her eyes anxiously shook. She held her phone suddenly trying to call her friend, but it was no veil. "Fuck, answer." She ran outside of the store nervously and started looking around for her.

The two men in the store, seemingly looking normal in their walk, speech, and tones as if they had been friends for years suddenly stopped moving and whatever they were doing. Their eyes turned dead and cold as they stared at where Emily had just left.

The fourth man, the one Lea could recognize started walking away. "Let's go. We have to take care of the others."

The other nodded respectfully and followed behind.

THAD! THAD! THAD!

Dominik slowly opened his eyes to the sounds of pounding metal.

He wasn't the only one who woke up to the harsh noise.

"Get up," a calm murderous voice of a man rang in their ears.

Dominik opened his eyes fully, raising his head surprised by the dark garage he found himself in. Not to say, the other two tied-up people in front of him were his friends.

"WHAT?"

"WHERE ARE WE?"

The two were equally surprised and confused.

THAD!

They shut their mouths as they heard the sound again. The man making the noise was sitting on their right, behind him were a couple of muscular men wearing all-black military gear with guns in their hands and masks only revealing their eyes.

Dominik and the others' eyes were wide open.

The man's name was Erik, the friend they made yesterday, holding two metal bars in his hands.

The four friends were reunited again.

"What's the meaning of this Erik?" Screamed Dominik.

"SHUT UP!" Screamed one of the two others.

"HUH?" Growled Dominik by the sudden turn of attitude of this little bastard.

"Look, I don't know if you guys are police, military, or mafias. We're not the ones in the mafia and have nothing to do with any of that, HE IS! HE IS THE ONE WITH THE AZAKIS!" He pointed to Dominik who cursed at him.

"FUCKER!"

"YES, he's right," cried out the third, "we have nothing to do with him! Please, you were with us so you know that..." They were tearing up, turning pale.

Erik stood up, completely different from his usual calm self and rather angry.

"I wanted to use you to get into the Azakis, but now I have someone else, someone better." He stood up and walked towards Dominik who remained quiet, trying to understand and observe. "I can't use you anymore. A lustful man like you who can't control what's between his legs is a variable I don't want," he said as he approached him.

"Wha-"

THUD!

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!!!"

Before he could finish his word Erik broke his leg with the metal bar. "Thank you for letting me know about Aiden."

Dominik screamed at the top of his lungs, his eyes teared up and he drooled from his nose and mouth. Erik kept talking and didn't seem to care. "It turns out he was her boyfriend. And also in the same mafia as you."

"HUF! HUF HUF HUF!" He was trying to catch his breath.

Erik placed the bar on his chin and raised it making him meet his eyes. "I couldn't believe it at first when I got the data but like. Are we in a movie or something? Really? Rival mafias yet they're dating?" Erik's face drew a big evil smile, "Ah," he breathed a sigh of relief, "Can't believe I will live through such a cliché. So, tell me. Should I make them kill each other? Hate each other and have a full-on war? Make them love each other so hard that the mafia will kill them for me hence, again, starting a war. AHHHHHH!!" He screamed out as if he was losing control over his ecstasy. "Endless possibilities... Endless... MARVELOUS!"

"N... nnn... nonnoo.... pl.. please... n..." Dominik kept shaking his head begging desperately.

But...

THUD! THUD! THUD! THUD!

AHH AAAAH AAAH AAAAAAHH!

The screams kept ringing with each hit. Whatever Erik was doing to him, the other two watching were too scared to make a sound, their pee marked the floor around them.

"Don't worry. I will leave you two be," he said as he squatted next to the shaking Dominik.

He looked at the other two dead in the eyes. "But I hope, no word of this will get out, hm?"

He smiled, creepily.

WOOSH!

Blood splashed on Erik's face as he put a knife on Dominik's neck. He kept looking at them, then slowly raised his finger to his mouth as the blood was gushing on his face. A demon.

"Shhh…"

---

Half an hour later.

Erik walked out of the parking lot with the two armed men.

Blood dripping from his hands. He pulled two pictures from his pocket and handed them to one of the two without even looking at them.

"Make sure none of the agents or their people get close to these two or the people around them. That woman knows my face now. I can use it to my advantage. I will infiltrate her father's mafia myself."

The two men hurriedly did the military salute, unable to face his bloodlust.

Erik suddenly received a text. "M in the city. Let's go for a ride." From a contact named K.

He raised his head. The tone which the man was casual compared to how the others addressed him. He hurriedly wore a helmet and got on his motorcycle, revving it before leaving the two staring at the pictures.

The street lights shone on their faces. One was Lea's. The other was her Aiden's.
