Oh, wind, heed my command and cut down my target!
I watch as the wind collected at my claw expand forward and cuts down the deer in front of me. I can't help but winced at how messy it was, but then again, it's far better than when I have no idea how to control it.
It's not much of an improvement, but compare the previous attempt where every magic spell I unleash causes huge damage on the surrounding, this is much better.
I approach the deer and grimace again. It's my second day of hunting down deer and my stomach still twisted at seeing these corpse.
I really hate this, but when a cub's survival is necessary, I need to stomach this. I lower my head and eat the deer, trying not to feel disgusted at myself for thinking its delicious.
I gulped it down, trying not to gag. No matter how many times I did this, my human self will react despite my dragon body tells me otherwise. This situation has become annoying, like puking out all of my dinner last night after eating my prey.
I was unable to sleep because of that, and I can't help but think if there's a way around it. If this keeps up, I don't think I can adapt at all with my current situation.
I turn and saw the little cub decapitates an incoming deer with wind blade and got soaked by its blood, but he ignores it and simply eat his food. I can't help but smile at him, seeing him able to hunt on his own.
It was kinda impressive since he simply do it after I only taught him once. His magic control was more impressive as mine, despite it has a tremendous amount of power.
And when it comes to hunting, it seems his father taught him a thing or two. Combining his father's lesson and my help with him discovering magic, he seems to adapt very well.
Speaking of adapting, I have a lot of problems here. Despite the shit tons of mana and shit tons of power, I still can't get used to my current body. Sure, I can move most of my part, including my tail which feels like I have a third arm.
It's kinda freaky, but I simply choose not to think much about it. Sadly, this doesn't help with my wings. I can't seem to figure out how to use these wings properly. My constant flapping won't work, and it hurts because the wingspan were too big at this forest, which ends up hitting the tree.
I sigh before looking at the sky. I wonder what happen to my other classmates. I saw every one of them fall asleep, including the bus driver-!
I froze at the thoughts before my mind went panic mode. I try to remember what happens before I fall asleep. That day, I heard a thud, which made me curious and saw one of the student fell asleep. Then, suddenly, more and more students fell asleep before the bus driver.....hits his head on the steering wheel...and the bus continues to moves despite it's red light.....and I fell asleep.
D-did we died...? T-that explains so much about my current condition, but that means other students were brought to this world as well. My next question is that where are they?
And sadly, I can't find them unless I learn how to fucking fly!
I sigh tiredly while rubbing my head, I really wish life would be as simple as before isekai was proven to be real.
Wait, nevermind, life has never been simple. Accounting, finances, colleges, office works, and everything else were the proof of that.
And me, being a fanatic of a fantasy novel and novice writer myself, knows I won't be able to get stable jobs. Yeah, living as a dragon is much more simpler....
Wait, why did I even compare my current life and my supposed future!? I groan before hitting my head on a nearby tree. It doesn't hurt, but its a perfect alternative for facepalm.
I look around to distract myself before seeing a bat seemingly come out of nowhere fly pass the forest. I stare at the mammal in confusion before noticing how the wing flaps.
....maybe if I try to imitate it.
I look at my pair of wings before deciding to find a way to get myself high enough and try to flap my wings. As I flap, I jump for a few feet and to my surprise, it works! Yes, I'm flying! I'm mothefucking-!
"WAAAHHH!!" My excitement made me forgot to flap my wings, which results me to crash into the ground. I didn't get my chance to flap my wings midair since gravity pulls me faster than a speeding bullet.
Yeah, that iconic 'flapping wings mid air' in cartoon? It won't work here thanks to the weirdly more powerful gravitational force. Or, it's just the fact that I'm fat.
If it's the latter, it hurts my pride a lot.
"S-sir Leo!!" I blink to see the cub rush towards me, worried. "What happen!?"
"I....was flying. Got too excited and forgot to flap my wings." I admit sheepishly as the cub looks at me in confusion.
"You...made it sound like you fly for the first time...." Well, he's not wrong. I never fly before, not even riding a plane, so it was exciting.
"It's more of.....beautiful scenery I just witness." I cough, trying not to let him figure out it is my first flight attempt. It's very embarrassing and I rather if the cub didn't know.
And there's no way I have any heart to reveal more embarrassing sides since I don't want him to see that his dad died by a clumsy fool. It'll definitely break his heart even more.
"I see..." The cub simply nodded.
"So, how do you feel incorporating magic with your hunting skill?" I asked as the tiger cub starts wagging his tail.
"I feel more powerful than ever! I never would've thought magic will be this amazing! It also made it feel easier!" The cub stated excitedly.
"Well, it's true, but don't rely on it too much or else you'll be weak when your magic doesn't work." The cub looks surprise before nodding. I just hope he really listen instead of mindlessly nodding.
Maybe I should learn how to fight properly using this body as well...
