"Oh my God," Liona breathed shakily. She quickly placed the picture back and ran to her bedroom. Before she could close the door, Andrew called out, "Liona."
"Hey, Liona, would you like some scrambled eggs..." Before he could speak further, he noticed Liona; her eyes were pale, and she wasn't looking too good.
"Liona, are you okay?" Andrew said sharply. "Yes, I'm fine," Liona responded, trying to fake a smile.
"Andrew, I would like a favor," Liona said. "What's that?" Andrew asked as he looked at Liona. "I would like to visit my father. Ever since I got married, I haven't stepped out, and I also need to visit my mother."
Andrew sighed and looked at Liona. "I don't know, Liona. If Thomas finds out…" Liona quickly interrupted. "He won't find out, please."
"Okay, it's fine. Can I drive you there?" "No, don't bother, I will be fine. "Thank you, Andrew," Liona said, her face glowing as her smile was gorgeous.
Liona went to her father's, and as she thought about what she saw earlier, it made her whole body shake and turn pale. Andrea was her ex-colleague. She was beautiful and was every man's type of girl.
She also stole Liona's ex-boyfriend from her. Andrea hated Liona because she worked hard and earned a lot of bonuses in her previous job, which made Andrea jealous and led her to attempt to destroy her life.
Liona's mind was full of thoughts as she didn't realize she had gotten home until the Uber driver informed her. She slowly came out of the car she walked slowly to her father's door, knocked, and awaited her father.
Liona's father opened the door, his eyes widened, and his mouth opened. "Liona, why are you here?"
"What do you mean, why am I here, Father?"
"Don't you miss your daughter?" Liona was stunned by the question her father asked. "Since I got married, you didn't visit me, neither did you call me."
"Liona, please don't do this," he said. "Aren't you thinking of your mother? Who will help us if you don't stay with Thomas?"
"Why are you saying this, Father? Since I have been married to Thomas, I have been suffering."
"You haven't been suffering," her father responded sharply. "Don't say that. Please be mature and be considerate and think about your mother."
"Please go back to your husband's house," Liona's father said in pain as he shut the door in her face.
Liona was shattered as she cried and wanted to go back home. She was in no good condition to visit her mom.
When she got home, she heard a strange voice talking to Andrew from the sitting room. She went closer and assumed it was Rebecca who was back again.
As she got closer, she opened her mouth in shock as she saw Andrea. Andrea was also shocked as she dropped the glass of wine she held.
Andrew was confused and asked in curiosity, "Andrea, are you okay? Do you know each other?"
"Erm, I'm fine, Andrew, and I don't know her," Andrea replied, stammering.
"Who is she?" she looked at Liona, "Yes, this is Thomas's newly wedded wife."
"What?" Andrea mumbled under her breath.
"Liona, how are you, and how did your visit go?" Andrew asked Liona, catching her back in reality as she was looking pale and lost.
"It was okay," Liona said with a low tone.
"Well, I will be back. I want to make an urgent call," Andrew said hurriedly.
"What the hell are you doing here?" Liona asked glancing into Andrea's eyes with her eyes fueled with anger.
Andrea balanced her positions trying to recover from the shock. "What do you mean, why am I here? This is my boyfriend's house, I should have every right to be here," Andre spoke with a low tone, looking into Liona's eyes.
"What do you mean boyfriend? Why do you always follow me everywhere? Why are you after my life? I can't stand you, Andrea, what's your problem?"
"Excuse me, Liona, point of correction, you are the one always following me, you want to be like me. I don't even feel safe since you now live under the same roof with my boyfriend."
"How ridiculous for you to say such to me. You're talking about me stealing your boyfriend?" You stole my fiancé or am I wrong, or have you forgotten?"
"You implicated me at work, you made my life a living hell at work," Andre snapped at Liona, "I stole your boyfriend? Is Henry a child that I will steal away from you? Don't be ridiculous," Andrea said loudly.
"Is anything the problem?" Andrew came back as he returned from the call he made.
"I'm done here," Liona said immediately as she stumbled and ran to her room upstairs.
Andrew was about to follow her, but Andrea held him back. "Where are you going, Andrew? "Why did she sound like that?" What did you do to her?" Andrew said Sharply.
"Andrew? Are you questioning me? I didn't do anything, I don't even know her, so what would I have done? I guess she's jealous that I'm dating a sexy guy like you," Andrea replied, leaning to kiss Andrew.
Immediately, Andrew shoved her away and held her back, saying in a low tone, "Please not now, Andrea."
Andrea became pale and angry as Andrew rejected her. Immediately, she went out to call Rebecca.
Rebecca and Andrea were close friends, as both of them are dating the billionaire brothers.
"Hello, Rebecca," she spoke on the phone. "Is that the girl you told me about, Liona?" Thomas's new bride?".
"Yes, that's the girl Thomas did a favor for by, helping her worthless mother."
"OMG," Andrea said, as she responded without clearly listening to Rebecca.
"You won't believe it if I had told you that I know Liona. We worked together at my last job, and trust me, to make her life miserable. I can't stand her.
We have to do something to destroy her and make Thomas leave her even if he told you that he married her for her mother's sake.
"In which I don't believe", as Andrea continues speaking to Rebecca.
"Yes, we have to do something fast," said Andrea, as she went to her car and left.
Liona didn't open her room door; she told Andrew she wasn't eating and didn't feel like talking to anyone. Andrew knocked several times to check up on Liona, but Liona told him she needed to be alone.
The next morning, Liona lay down on her bed as she started crying and thinking of her life. A knock on the door made her come to reality. "Yes?" she replied.
"It's me, Andrew."
"What do you want, Andrew?"
"Are you fine, Liona? You locked up the room since yesterday and you haven't eaten. I'm fine, Andrew."
"It's fine, please get something to eat, I will be leaving for the office. Take care of yourself," Andrew told Liona.
After a few minutes, there was a knock at the main entrance. Liona was the only one at home.
She heard the knock again as she stood up tiredly, her hair looking messy from the bun, wearing shorts and a big shirt.
As she opened the door, she gasped, her mouth opening in shock. She stammered, "What are you doing here?"
