The carriages slowly made their way toward the city's main gate, guarded by the royal knights and the border patrol knights. People working in the farms surrounding the capital gawked at them and pointed their fingers, gossiping about what kind of noble had been inside them to have all those knights guarding them.
Lilia looked out of the window at the apple and pear trees, the five women crushing olive with their legs to make olive oil, and the kids running in the middle of the endless wheat fields, chased by a grandpa yelling at them to not stop the wheat.
This scene reminds her of home, the fields around Tav City where she grew up. Sara shared the same feeling, but unlike her sister, she was worried about what was to come. The whole reason they were traveling was to take the healers and alchemists' test here in the capital. This would mark the end of their journey with everyone else.
