Walter stood, "Dorian, keep her locked in a room until we inspect the previous lord's health. I've seen so many cases like this." He already expected such a thing, which was one reason why he made the trip all the way here. To him, Alex's father's health dropped suddenly which seemed suspicious; he usually always made notes about his health in the reports. Like saying that managing the territory has been a bit harder since he got a cold or a sprained ankle, but for him to suddenly fall silent, it didn't make sense.

Alex's mother screamed her lungs off as the guards dragged her away. "Mom!" He cried; staring at the royal guards with sparks of lightning crackling from his hair.

Liam patted his head, "If she's innocent, then she wouldn't have anything to worry about. In fact this could embarrass Walter and give her and her family a huge benefit from the royal family. Any innocent noble would be happy to sit in a room for a while and prove the king wrong."
