"No thank you. I don't want to be tied down, neither to a home or a kingdom." Liam sighed and looked at the king, "I'm planning to leave for the demon continent. There are monsters that I want to hunt there."
"Is that so? The demon continent surrounds the inner continent, it's like we're living on an island in the middle of a massive lake. That place is filled with far stronger monsters and ruled by the demonic people, it's the birthplace of Asura, the ancient monster." The king looked at Liam with a worried face.
"You'll die. And it's my duty to make sure a talent like you isn't wasted." The king was worried, but his reasons weren't that clear from his look even to Liam.
As the two started at each other smiling, everyone else could feel the tension slowly rising. Each of them tried to read the other but reached a dead end, a guess battle between two kings, each trying to be one step ahead.
