Liam stretched as the commander of the guards left Emma's lodge. Emma approached him with a worried face, "Sir Liam, thank you for your help…"
"Don't thank me. This isn't over yet." Liam replied, "You know that your safety might only last for as long as I'm here. Once I leave, those fools could come back to harass you again." He replied with a smile as he patted her head. "Rest assured, little girl, they'll never cause you trouble again." Even though Emma was almost twice Liam's age, as Asura, he was far older than her.
Ancient, old, and mostly vengeful… Asura wasn't the kind to let this slide.
"I'm not that young." She giggled and went back into cooking lunch and Liam sat before the counter to wait. Alice looked at him with a suspicious face. "What are you going to do?"
