The guards walked out of the main gate as Liam's carriage approached. They pointed their spears forward, "This is a routine inspection. We'll need to make sure you aren't carrying anything illegal." A guard said with a stern face.
"Everyone, please get out of the carriages and allow our dog battalion to inspect them." Two other guards walked out escorting five large dogs akin to wolves. In fact, it was hard to tell the difference.
"Fine, just give us a minute. Grandma takes a while to wake up." Liam looked back into the carriage. "Valtorina, wake up and put your veil on."
Valtorina slowly opened her eyes, "Waking me up in the middle of my sleep, aren't you a naughty one…" She giggled.
