Liam took the woman and her daughters deeper into the back alleys so nobody could hear them speak. The three women walked before him and the girls, terrified, it was clear as day that they laid their hands on a monster far beyond anything they'd seen before.
The mother slowly looked back at him. Based on his armor and how he walked, she could tell he wasn't a noble or a regular adventurer. The way he walked looked more like a seasoned soldier, each step following the first, ready to strike.
"This is far enough." Liam smiled as he looked around, he couldn't hear a beep from the nearby houses so most of them should be empty.
The mother could feel her hands shaking; her two daughters were terrified as well. She couldn't figure out what was the best move now, begging for mercy, trying to run away. All of the options seemed too dangerous to try.
