Chapter 59 - Living Expenses

Yi Qin was absent-minded after the call and came out of the bedroom to find solace in the sweet taste of the Mung bean cake that Liu Xinyu got for him. It was round and slightly flattened, with a golden-brown, flaky exterior that provided a satisfying crunch when he bit into it. The pastry was adorned with a sprinkle of sesame seeds. 

The first bite of the cake revealed a delicate, crunchy crust that melted in his mouth. The filling inside was smooth and slightly dense made from finely ground mung beans. This contrast between the crisp outer layer and the soft, rich filling was one of the pastry's most delightful features that made Yi Qin fall in love with it.
