Ethan almost choked on his own saliva when he heard the words that left the tip of his mother's tongue. His eyes shot wide open, practically bulging out of his eye sockets as he stared and his mother with disbelief written all over his face.
Beside him, Hannah also appeared surprised and caught off guard by Kathy's sudden proposed idea.
"What?" They both asked simultaneously, but one sounded more distraught than the other.
"Mum, what do you mean by that?"
"I meant exactly what I said," Kathy reiterated, her voice filled with certainty. "Marry the girl or you are not moving back in."
"Why should I marry her? I'm not doing that!" He snarled with gritted teeth as his eyes flickered over to glance at Hannah. "Are you crazy?"
