Elisha's brows were furrowed together in concentration with a tiny frown etched onto her face. She moved in quick rapid movements with her eyes fixated on something under the bed when all of a sudden, Alexandra's voice reached her ears, snapping her back to reality, leaving her startled as she jumped a little and felt her heart skip a beat.
She whipped her head around to see Alexandra and Caleb standing by the door. Within the next second, she stood up abruptly and immediately started to back away from the edge of the bed, raising her hands up in mock surrender.
"Nothing," she answered suspiciously fast. "I was just reaching for something that rolled under the bed," she explained as her lips curled upwards into a smile.
