That same night, Hannah was woken up by the flashing red and blue lights right outside her window, peeking through the tiny gap between her curtains, invading her sight. Someone was knocking on their front door loudly and the sound of the doorbell ringing echoed throughout the house, breaking the peace and quiet that once settled among them.
Confusion was written all over her face and a small frown was etched between her brows as she turned to look at Ethan who was already asleep beside her.
She reached her arm out to tap on his shoulder lightly, shaking him as she tried to wake him up. He would barely budge, turning away from her as he clicked his tongue in annoyance with his eyes still shut tightly.
