"Can I say something controversial?"
Alexandra and Caleb were now back in his apartment as they sat outside on the balcony that overlooks the city beneath them, under the night sky as the cool wind ruffled their dark hair.
She turned her head slightly to the side to look at Caleb who was sitting right next to her.
"What?" She asked, curious about what he was going to say next.
"Your mum is a horrible person."
A laugh escaped from her lips. "You are definitely not wrong at all," she chimed in and they both burst into laughter before silence lapsed between the both of them and the sounds of the city lingered in the air.
She watched as he took another swig of ice-cold beer before setting it down on the small wooden table that was sitting in between them. He was staring ahead into the darkness and she couldn't help but notice the way the city lights twinkled in his dark brown eyes as the wind blew his hair.
"Caleb, can I ask you something?"
