Caleb's knuckles turned white as from how tightly he was gripping onto his phone, the anger still boiling within him as his heart was pounding loudly against his chest. He paced along the corridors of the hospital, his footsteps echoing in his ears as he tried to calm his racing thoughts. Liam's words replayed at the back of his mind like a broken record player he couldn't seem to fix. The nerve of Liam to shift the blame and demand an apology—it was infuriating to say the very least.
"Hey, are you okay?" Alexandra's soft voice came from behind him, snapping him back to reality. He whipped his head around and his dark brown eyes drove straight to her. His gaze flickered down to see the bandage wrapped around her palm and the plaster pasted on her forehead, almost immediately, his features contorted into a concerned and worried expression.
"What's wrong?" She questioned gently as she stopped in front of him, holding his hand in hers and they locked eyes.
