Hannah's eyes glanced over to examine Ethan's features which were contorted into an angry expression and his eyes were still fixated on the phone screen. Seeing this, she took the opportunity to speak up as she interlinked her arm with his and a smug look appeared on her face.
"You are right, we can't let her get away with this," she echoed his words in agreement then turned to look at him, her fingers curling around his arm. "Ethan, I know this is hard for you to believe, but you deserve to know the truth. Alexandra has always been trying to get between us and trying to ruin what we have. She wanted you all to herself, and when that didn't work, she resorted to this," she continued, acting all pitiful and sympathetic while he remained silent.
