The man looked up and Alexandra found herself looking into the pair of familiar dark brown eyes and silence lapsed between them for a brief moment as she examined his features carefully.
"Leave, I don't want to talk," the man declared as he lowered his head back down with a defeated look etched onto his face. But the next few words that left her lips caught his interest within a split second.
"I believe you, and I want to help," she said before plopping down to sit next to the man. A smirk tugged at the corners of her lips as he looked up to meet her eyes once again, curiosity swirling in the depth of his dark brown eyes as he straightened his posture and turned to look at her with an arched brow.
"What? Why?" The man questioned as his mind buzzed with thoughts and possibilities. "Why would you want to help me? I'm just a stranger."
"What's your name?" She asked immediately.
"It's Nathan," the man said.
