"I'm leaving this conversation," he simply said crudely without any hesitation. "We actually have somewhere to be," he spat, each word laced with the growing contempt he felt for his mother. He watched as the corners of her lips twisted upwards into a smirk and her eyes twinkled with defiance.
"Who says the two of you are going in alone? We are coming in with you," she announced, smugness radiating off her body as she straightened her posture this time. "How could you possibly leave your mother out of this special moment in your life?" She questioned, a pitiful look crossing her face a in fleeting second before her features hardened.
"Exactly," Elisha interjected to side with her as she clung her arm around hers. "You can't just rob this important moment from her."
A scoff erupted from his lips this time. He didn't miss the insincerity in his mother's voice as her words replayed at the back of his mind.
