The woman snapped her head in the direction he pointed at, then quickly turned back to meet his intense gaze. A small frown was etched between her brows as a puzzled look crossed her face.
"Me?" She asked with a hint of doubt that laced her voice as she pointed at herself while holding eye contact.
"Yes, you."
A loud scoff left his mother's lips, stopping the woman in her tracks as she froze.
"You don't trust your own mother?" She questioned, feigning hurt as she placed her hand over her chest with her brows knitted together, forming a deep crease in her forehead.
He looked over at his mother, matching her gaze. His expression remained cold, his face voided of any signs of emotions as his jaws were clenched tightly.
"No, I don't," he deadpanned, his tone filled with indifference.
