Hannah refused to look into his eyes, guilt and shame overwhelmed her at that moment as she kept her head hung low.
"Answer me!" He screamed this time as he reached down to grab tightly onto her shoulders, shaking her body as he forced her to look at him.
"...Yes..." she managed to get the one word out of her throat with a light nod.
A cold chuckle left his lips as he stumbled back a couple steps in disbelief with a million questions buzzing in his head. Was all he ever known just a god damn lie? How could she lie to him without even batting an eyelash? His heart was going into overdrive now, he thought he was going to explode.
Seeing this, she immediately stood up from the wheelchair and tried to explain herself again, in an attempt to reconcile whatever that was left between them. She once again extended her hands to hold him but he recoiled at her touch almost instantly.
