Chapter 1 "Egg Hunt Game"
Wilhelm rounded up his friends behind his house in the backyard, where he had spread colored Easter eggs all over. The air was heavy with flowers in full bloom and the promise of warmth brought about by this season."Alright guys, listen up," shouted Wilhelm. "We're gonna play an egg hunt game, whoever finds the most eggs wins!
Everybody cheered and ran off in all directions in search of the eggs. Göran ran towards the bushes while Felix went further ahead towards the trees and searched the ground for any sign of colour. Sebastian and Jonas decided to look around the house and Lena, Emma, Sophia, and Charlotte went towards the flower beds; the giggles of the girls spread through the garden.
As they looked, they lightly spoke and laughed amongst each other."I bet I'll find the most eggs," Göran boasted as he looked amongst the bushes."Ha! You wish," Felix shot back,"I bet I'll find way more eggs than you!"
Meanwhile, Wilhelm had kept an overview of all the children so that no one cheated or found more eggs than they were allowed. After a while, he gave the signal, and everyone moved to the lake, where all could see each other and the meadow with which they had busied themselves.
"Alright, guys, let's count those eggs and see who found the most!" Wilhelm said, with them all emptying their baskets and counting the different eggs. Their faces were just full of excitement and anticipation.
"I got 10 eggs!" Göran exclaimed, holding his basket up in the air.
"I got 12!" Felix exclaimed, beaming with pride at the huge grin across his face.
Yet Lena won this game, holding her basket with 15 eggs on it. "Wow, Lena, that's great!" Wilhelm said with awe. His eyes shone bright with respect towards his friend.
Everybody congratulated Lena while Wilhelm handed out small Easter baskets with candy to each of his friends because all of them received a prize after playing this game. The children lit up their faces with smiles as they took their prizes.
"That was such a lot of fun," Emma said, smiling. "Thanks for inviting us, Wilhelm."
"Yeah! We definitely have to make plans to do this again next year." Sophia chimed in.
Wilhelm was thrilled; his friends had enjoyed the game as much as he did. "Definitely, this can be an Easter tradition!" he exclaimed. The warmth of the spring sun and the joy of their friendship created a perfect memory.
