The moment the Devourer's voice echoed across the mountain, cold and cruel, stating that Maxwell was trapped, I felt a surge of rage explode from Niko. His fury was almost palpable, and it ignited something deep inside me. My grip tightened, every muscle ready to spring into action. But before we could react, Talon's voice slipped through our mind link, calm yet urgent.
"I've spotted them," he said. "East side of the mountain."
Immediately, we all turned to where Talon had indicated, eyes scanning the rocky terrain. There, coming into view, were Kieran, Maxwell, Emmet, and the others—Commanders Leo, Elias, and Jack—alongside General Cecile and Daeva. Relief washed over me for a moment as the commanders waved, signaling they were all right. It was the cue we needed.
