SYBILLS POV
It was late afternoon when I was practicing my magic and harnessing my power when I felt the rumbling below Sith Mountain had me on edge. My senses sharpened; I felt the familiar tremor beneath my feet—the Dragon Lair. Something was wrong.
I hurried down the narrow, winding passage leading to the lair. The flicker of torches cast shadows that seemed to stretch unnervingly far. My heart pounded coordinated with the low grumble of the earth.
When I reached the chamber, the sight of the eggs stopped me cold. The glow... it was gone. I approached cautiously, touching one of the massive shells. Cold. Too cold. My breath caught as fear gripped me. The warmth that had always pulsed within these eggs had vanished.
Something dark, something evil, had shifted in the realm. I could feel it like a shadow creeping at the edges of my mind. And whatever it was, it had stolen the light from these eggs. If they did not hatch soon…
