The moment Boris arrived, I felt it—a pull so strong it nearly took my breath away. My dragon stirred, sensing what I couldn't deny. Boris. My mate. My beast roared so loud and kept pushing me to get close to him. I was awestruck that at this age, fate had planned for me to have a mate.
But why a human?
I bolted from the courtyard, heading straight to my chambers. My mind was a storm of confusion, the fire of my dragon's instincts burning beneath my skin. A human. Fate had chosen a human for me.
